Asking price is as much as someone is willing to pay. I'd look on autotrader and price accordingly to how quickly you need to sell.

why do you have so many wheels?

Rear elec windows with no dual climate pack?

Edit: ah, wait, no cruise control!

I'd say about £5,500 mark as I'm currently searching for a vrs of this age + mileage, u may get more u may get less but I think that figure is the level playing field

why do you have so many wheels?

I think thats less...he cud had 18!!!

I paid £4700 for a black vrs pretty much that spec and mileage the weekend

Tricky to value as there is not that many of them around. Also where you are in the country might make a difference too, as does overall condition of the car....age and mileage give an idea of condition, but some cars have an easy 75k miles while others have a hard 75k miles.....you can see the difference when you view them.

Traders seem to be advertising similar age/mileage cars for around the £5,990 mark.

So to sell it privately I might chance advertising it at £5,500 fully expecting to have to lower that price, but you never know till you try!........£5,250 is probably a more realistic price to advertise, expecting to actually get £5,000 for it.

Cheers for info guys, wheels are in need of tidying as 3 lady owners from new,it has stone chips on front as u would get with a soon 2 b 7 year old car, over all aint a bad looking car

I'm sure you could easily deal with the Stone chips yourself.

Wheels are a bit more of a dilemma........do you spend the £50-£75 per wheel to get it sorted, or do you leave it and let a buyer use it as a bargaining point?

I had exactly this dilemma with my old car I sold 6 months ago (not a Skoda, a Chrysler). The alloy wheels were in really bad state....they were flaking really badly. I decided to tidy them myself with a wire brush and a can of silver wheel paint.

Needless to say, it wasn't a great job, and most people noticed it. But it did sell in the end. I don't think I would have got £300 more for it (the cost of getting the wheels properly done around here) if the wheels had have been perfect......but I don't know.....The wheels certainly made a lot of potential buyers walk away.

Your wheels probably aren't nearly as bad as mine were, so you may be better off leaving them.
