Trim Removal kit

Featured Replies

Hello all,

I'm due to start my installation of an OEM install of bluetooth very soon (just waiting on my foam holder to arrive). I am wondering if I need a trim removal tool/kit & if so can any of you avid DIYers offer me some advise on what toll/s I need & what should best suit my needs.

I am looking at this but it seems rather good value & possibly too good to be true or even too much for the job i'm going to under take?! :whew:

Any advise would be much appreciated.

A couple of lads in our workshop use them and find them good, Ive used them and they do seem ok, a little brittle compared to your snapon items but you get what you pay for with tools, for occasional use i dont think you will go far wrong, Hope this helps Phil

I appreciate the replies. I will see if I get anymore feed back & then i'll order a set. Cheers Pete & Phil

I have a similar set (different make) and they are IMO essential for any trim removal, they are designed to be quite soft plastic so that the tool marks and not the trim you are trying to remove, you will probably only use 2 or 3 of them, but at that price you cant go far wrong.

If you find that they are quite brittle then keep them at room temperature until you need them.

Cant see past the Bojo trim removal tools.

Cant see past the Bojo trim removal tools.

Are they THE tool to use then?

I thought this looked fairer for the £'s - More bang for your buck it seems. Digspot is another world away.

They would defo do the trick for occasional use, and cheap as well!.

I have ordered the white Bojo set too.

I got a 4 piece set off the Bay for £3.90 :)

Thick strong plastic and does the job.

BOJO here too.

And just insert your bluetooth module under the climate control unit by taking the tabs off it, far far easier than routing cables under to the drivers seat.

Pfft. Ikea kids knives and forks do the job just as well, and don't mark if you're careful. Brilliant car tools!

Haha never thought of that ;)
