A red phase one Rallye with white wheels? One of my dream cars! (Seriously, I love them)

It's Fench . It will break. It will also be fun to drive.

I like my Fench bulldog though.

Good grief that's ugly. The only proper drivers car left that Renault make is the Twingo then! I know enough friends that have DSG boxes in their cars etc, and on a daily basis they are quite nice to live with, but all of them say one thing - they miss stirring the gearbox themselves when on a spirited run. Part of the fun of peddling a car along is being involved in the drive, and a car like this should at least have a manual option.

I seem to miss where pushing in and out a clutch makes a difference ,

and instead of stirring for gears you just push a stick manually forward or back.

Does a manual gearbox with the foot activating the clutch actually make the same engined car go better,

faster or round corners better?

A manual gear box will always win for driving pleasure. A dsg type box might be an advantage in going faster with quicker gear changes but even on track day you won't win a prize for being fastest so why bother. Plus when they go wrong make sure you have deep pockets.

Looks good to me. The interior looks a step up.

I don't see what's fun in clicking a button? I feel more at one with a car using a clutch. Take for example a simple 0-60 run, in an automatic, you simply bury the throttle and it does what it does. Where in the manual you have to balance the throttle & clutch to get the perfect start. Not every start is the same, and you can fluff it up. To me that adds to the driving experience.

I don't dislike auto boxes at all, they have their place. However in a supposedly cheap hot hatch things should be kept more simple IMO.

I think it's a bad decision to only offer one type of gearbox.

Eww that is fugly!

Wont sell to boy racers at that price and with 5 doors!

Crap french car like them all! Wouldnt touch with a barge pole

Something not French or automatic.

These are the pics tht melted my heart...

I have driven this pretty much exact same car as this but 1.5 dci 90 and it's a better car than Clio 3 nicer to drive sharper and better looking. But it's well pricey we have that car up for £16,950 you can buy a well specd Fabia vrs for that not forgetting the sport will be good but I don't see it having the same appeal as the 200cup which is by far one of the best chassis I've given stick maybe a bit harsh in town tho I just think the new rs200 will be a bit of a soft let down with the 1.6 rather than the metallic noise and rasp of that nutty 2.0 not sure how it will pan out tbh.

Truth be told tho we are selling 5 Dacia sanderos to 1 of these new Clio 4... And that's to people who's driven clips for years! Ha

One of my fave hatches at the hyundi veloster.

Nah...not for me...have never rated any French cars....a mate at work has just bought one of these..

He has gone for the blue one, and I have to say that the pics definitely do not do this car justice...if you haven't seen one in the flesh yet, you do not know what you are missing....NOW THIS IS THE MUTTS NUTS !!!!

Those new VXR's are such a pretty car,

Looks a bit like a shrunken Nissan Juke to me , Previous Renaultsport versions were very good to drive.

Those new VXR's are such a pretty car,

I have to say that it is the best looking car I have seen in years, and there are some good looking cars out there at the mo.. :)

I know lots of people that have bought a Renault once.

However, it'll probably sell well. 200hp and reasonable mpg.

My first thought was styles for style sake. They have gone too far tweking it.

Looks a bit like a shrunken Nissan Juke to me ,

I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks it looks like a juke
