If you haven't spotted it

New Grill

Comments criticisms as usual are welcome

Karl

looks cool not a fan of the towing eye but the grill emblem looks sweet

Pretty subtle Karl. :)

Looks good :) how about some pressed plates with no badges on the side? What tyres are those? Federals?

Sorry mate its not the grill emblem. Thats just a piece of plastic card sprayed black with a VRS logo stuck on it that I fit during the winter months to enable the engine to warm up quicker. Took 5 mins to do.

The mod I'm on about took a good few day's

No one spotted it ??

At first i thought it was different lights but then realised it was just because of the angle. :D

Subtle but cleaner without the break/join between body coloured surround and body coloured former chrome part.

Also, is that a different wing mirror on the passenger side??

Thanks Jordan,

Tyres are Eagle F1's on the first picture, what do you think I've changed ?

I know they take a while to warm up but does the car not run hot once upto temp with that?

It looked a bit smaller in the 2nd picture on the passenger side but is probably to do with the angle again.

There is a larger one behind that one, which almost covers the radiator. Been running like that for years now and never any problems, temp gauge just show it gets up to op temp quicker.

Your right, just the camera angle, there will be changes to the mirrors, but thats still in progress

Thought it was the emblem too!:D it is different from the first pic tho lol

Looks great Karl :) I bet a lot of work went into it :)

Very subtle, but looks ace.

Looks like a less agressive aftermarket grill, to me anyway.

Thanks Charlie,

Your right a lot of work did go into it, seen one that someone had done before at a show, but the filler was starting to crack on the joins, so what I did first was to bond the chrome surround bit into the main moulding so that there would be no flexing and hence cracking of the filler ( I HOPE ). Also wanted to keep the original contour of the grill, saw another one done by another member on here but they had fiberglassed over the entire grill so lost the contours a little.

I think your right, I do think it looks mid way between standard and an aggressive after market grill, might grow on me but at the moment seem old.

Been chasing my ideal front end for a number of years

Over time its looked like

Original

Front_zps277f9855.jpg

Then came blue optic lamin-x with colour coded centre grill

Front_1_zpsb2996e59.jpg

Eyebrows and new Badge

Front_2_zps111f8452.jpg

Then discovered Di-Noc Carbon film and PastyBoy Badge

Front_3_zps5d876c8e.jpg

Went back to Colour Coded Grill and Mesh complete with headlamp surrounds

Front_4_zps0828a020.jpg

HIDs went on so lost the headlamp surrounds and Colour Coded number plate holder

Front_5_zpsfc96495b.jpg

Grill Mesh then went black and Di-noc on lower grill edge

Currently this

( For how long - who knows )

Cheers for looking

Might give some members ideas

Karl

Is that the Heko grill cover or have you DIY'd one?

Looks lovely. Looks better with the black too. Blue mesh was too much blue I think.

Are they the masked depo xenons?

Korban, where are your headlights from please?

Car looks ace :)

Car looks brilliant! Love the stages it's been through, I'm always looking for things to do to y car no matter how small they are just because it's time I can spend on the car :)

I spotted it without prompting / reading, so subtle but not that subtle, without zooming. So must look immense in real scale.

Really smooths out the front grill given its all one colour.

DIY'd the original, your right it was too blue before thats why I did the mesh black.

Yes, masked depo xenons

Was from the group buy about a year ago - arranged off Ebay

Cheers, still trying to get it the way I want.

Cheers, I'm always trying something different.

Still an epic looking car.

From the original pics all I could see was that you now have an extra sticky pad on the screen... for the Blackkvue.

Cheers Richard,

Well spotted on the Blackvue - all fitted and working great.

Got an idea to mod that as well.

Karl

Really like how it's progressed Karl, keep up the top work :)

Looks great in the context of your car Karl but not for me.

I'm one of the handful of people who actually LIKE the standard chrome

stil love the wheels though - I'll buy them back for Mrs Pasty if you ever consider parting with them ;)
