Really like how it's progressed Karl, keep up the top work :)

Thanks Charlie, starting to run out of new original ideas, got some more in the pipeline but its drying up, might catch up on some of the other mods that I fancy - braided lines for instance

Looks great in the context of your car Karl but not for me.

I'm one of the handful of people who actually LIKE the standard chrome

stil love the wheels though - I'll buy them back for Mrs Pasty if you ever consider parting with them ;)

Know what you mean Cliff, still like the chrome trim myself, but not on my car.

As for the wheels, got two sets now, but NO your not having them back

I've had a few ideas which are original. Which are on going at the moment :)

But have to agree there's only so much that can be done to the front end that's new. Braided lines are awesome go for it. Just need to detail the rest of the engine bay now :)

Ive just noticed your grills, been thinking of trying a mesh for mine but unsure what to do.

Yeah will be doing the braided line later this year, got some interior mods on the go at the moment. Be interesting to see what your doing.

Go for it but word of warning if you look at the first picture with the blue mesh you can see right through it, especially when looked at straight on. Currently it has three layers of mesh ! Shouldn't be a problem with the plastic mesh though.

Karl

Hopefully will all be sorted in time for Combe :)

Getting the chrome grille surround, number plate surround and fog surrounds manufactured in genuine carbon fibre :)

Sorry to hijack slightly but as you're giving some ideas for other members thought I'd share one of mine

Custom upper and lower grilles with honeycomb mesh

Do you have a link to the mesh you used mate? Going to give it a go. Do you mean that there is 3 layers of mesh in front of one another? How did you bond the mesh to the grill? I've got a rough idea of how you've done it looks like you cut all the slats out.

Just shown my Dad your car to see what he thought of the grills and he loved it when the whole front end was blue :)

No problem Charlie, I think carbon fibre will really look great on a black car, but I'd be then tempted to do the front splitter in carbon as well. B)

So used to seeing it there didn't notice it myself lol

Thanks for the complement.

Sorry mate, the seller off Ebay I used no longer exists !, but it looked very similar to http://www.ebay.co.u...=item589052e0af it is aluminium type that I used

Fairly big job, cut out all the slats, fill with body filler, plastic prime, under coat, final colour, clear coat( 2 pak ), then bond the mesh in with hot melt and add extra layers of mesh slightly offset.

I did like it all blue, but did a little poll on here and most members reckoned too much, which after a while I had to agree :giggle:

Thanks mate, will gather the necessary parts and a couple of spare grills and see what I can come up with :)

If I was running a front splitter I probably would too :)

You should be Ok, not that hard or expensive to do just time consuming.

That was a hint lol, I watch you tread and I think you need one just to finish it off, but I would need to be carbon to carry it off IMHO.

Waiting patiently for the pic's

Karl
