Both midland-vw and sav26 have requested the thread be deleted. Or to a greater extent, parts of it, for deformation, slander etc.

This thread has been educational, and given two differing views, a discussion. Clearly neither side can agree despite black and white legal text. So as Im not a MOT tester or lawyer, I'm locking it now, before it goes of the rails.

I'm keeping the thread for educational reasons, will remove some of the claimed deformation slander comments made against midland-vw. This will leave a few holes, so hopefully this explanation will serve, it's a shame companies reach for the legal position, but hey ho...

Personally in my line of work, if somebody asks me to do something I don't agree with on fundamental issues, I say no. On this, it's fair to discuss the MOT issue as originally suggested.
