Kia - Work in Progress

Not attempted a chop in a while.

Basically colour coded a few parts, changed the colour, wheels (and coded), front and rear lights, general BLAAAAAACKness.

My main issue is the way it sits, I don't like it all that much. Opinions?

I like the look of that except the front wheels have too much camber on them imo

They're very dub wheels.. But other than that it looks spot on, I want one :D

Is this a real car or a figment of the imagination ?

Didn't even know that version existed! :)

It's a Photoshop of a very bland base model! Was going to change the wheels to OEM ones and have the theme of the chop as a OEM Kia Hot Hatch, but since it's been made I may as well go down the customization route! :)

The GT looks an awesome car!

I'd have either, great looking cars

Looks stunning. Recaro seats, 200 dog power from a 1.6 turbo and a 7 year warranty.

Bit pricey though as its only 3,000 less than a Golf Gti

For the extra 5 years warranty i know what i would buy.

That's true,

I'll be waiting to see what there views are like when this is released :)

Same here

we've got an "old" cee'd ('57 plate) - well, the wife has! - It's been a great car, 1.6 Diesel, 113 bhp, 50 mpg all day.

But with the Cee'd GT, have Kia not missed the point...?

1.6 Turbo Petrol, 201 bhp, but my 204 bhp DIESEL E-Class Estate will beat it to 60...?! - What's that all about?!

See here for more info from the Geneva MotorShow - even the guy writing the review seems to agree

"The most performance-oriented Kia ever, it uses a 1.6-litre turbocharged petrol engine that makes 201bhp and 265Nm– enough for a 0-62mph sprint time of 7.9 seconds and a top speed of 143mph. It won't set the world on fire with its speed – cars like the Ford Focus ST (and even the smaller Fiesta ST) will leave it for dead but its relatively liesurely acceleration at least means more people will see what excellent taste you have have."

Al.

I'd hardly say a tiny difference in 0-60 times equates to "leaving it for dead".

I like it. Not noticed it before but they look very previous shape Ford Focus'ey don't they?

  • 1 year later...

Wish they sold the new Pro cee'd and Pro cee'd GT in the States.

Sorry, a bit too Barry for me - suspension looks knackered and aftermarket wheels are horrid.

Other than that, very nice.

Mmmmmm.....the Cee'd look's rather nice

" Briskcee'da "

Maybe not

We have a FL Ceed 3 and honestly its one of the best cars we've ever had. That Ceed GT is very high on the list of cars to replace it with when it gets a few more years on it.
