You got me thinking now... I'm in the same position as you with the warranty running out. What extras did you spec up on the new one? I've got parking sensors, bluetooth, cruise and climate and i don't really wana go without any of them. Duno how much these options r.

well if you can do it like I did at nearly 3 years old without loosing any money, then why not? I only specced black alloys and waxoil treatment.... I did think about phone and climate, but it doesn't bother me that much, I have a little solar bluetooth think in my windscreen now that works well as handsfree, and though my current car is climatronic, and the new one isn't, I dont miss it when I drive swmbo's citygo...

biggest thing for me is I'm out of my current car owing nothing, and into the new one in the estate in black (the spec I wanted!) with a new warrenty, and the CTHE engine.... piece of mind.

  • Turn it into a mini Brimma mobile. Bet you can't wait to get your hands on it.

  • Nice Dave..Great deal too Welcome back again mate But is black a wise choice given your lack of regular car cleaning?

    blackandwhite

So then , you going to call your car 'Black' and I shall call my car 'White' ? because I've still not got a name for it ! The takeaway delivery drivers are going to get even more confused now ...

Great news! :)

The estate loses none of the fun, if anything it adds more being an estate and people aren't ready for one to whizz by them! :)

Look forward to the pics.

I always prefered the look of the estate ;) my current car was the 2nd on the list of stock cars when i went looking :)

Lets just hope you don't trade a perfect working car for one that might cause problems. Warranty yes, but potential for hassle and heart ache

there is always that possibility..... BUT I have faith ;)

Not that much faith, you had to buy a new car because of your lack of it!

It seems like only Saturday we were discussing this...

Good shout though

But your monthly payments will continue for an extended period of what 1,2 years? That's a brave decision... I'm paying off mine this year and can't look forward to it.

Nice one, I hope you enjoy it. just goes to show what you can achieve by a bit of haggling. I wonder if it was because they're at the end of the month and chasing monthly quota numbers, so were prepared to swallow the £800?

good reason too though having the "old" engine and the amount have have been changed.

They're a cracking car and even with the engine "issue", I still don't think you can get anything with a better bang/buck factor. I can see why George has bought another.

Well done...can't beat a good haggle! This close to the end of the month, they'll be chasing their target sales like a mad thing. Bonus on reaching the target will probably outweigh the "loss" on the deal.

Just done a quote on drivethedeal...

I can get a fully loaded Fabia for 15.6k apparently, inc nav phone and everything else :o

Not bad - and to think sharks is 3 years old and got offered £9 grand basically part ex.

Mines slightly newer and slightly less mileage so I think 9k is achievable...

What a 'Negative Norman' :wonder:

I got 9 for mine in just a straight sale to a garage and mine was 3years old albeit with only 25000miles

What a 'Negative Norman' :wonder:

I'm just saying he might swap a perfectly good car for one that has problems, and pay more for the privilege. Lets hope that doesn't happen though

Noooooo, another black estate!

Just get those Lowering Springs fitted now!

You'll also have the advantage of being quicker than the hatch :)

It's pics like that ardandy that made me choose that spec, lovely looking car! And I thought after the order 'should have specced lowering springs' but they are a dealer fit option , so may well ask for them next time we speak!

Was heading to local dealer tomorrow to look see what is on offer for Octavia estates, end of range deals ect, but that black fabia estate made me droolllllll.

Number 2 son has a blue Fabia VRS hatch and it's mental, looks like I might try for a test drive if they have one in.

Should be picture here

Lack of picture = total fail

IMO the weakest link for a car of this power is softness of the standard suspension.I bought the Eibach springs from the dealer for £165 and fitted them with a friends help for beer money.Backs are easy ,fronts a bit more involved.beware the dealer's fitting charge, probably 3 hours at the usual extortionate rate. They are a great compromise,I wouldn't want to go any harder/lower personally.

Maybe not as simple as an ordinary DIY job. At my local garage where they did the change, they were struggling for like 5 hours, they were missing some special tools etc. etc. However the ARB I installed it myself no problem. A 30 min job if you have access to a lift.

Seeing the photo above I took an awkward look! I'd almost forgotten how strangely tall the vRS looks as a stock... A must-do in my opinion as well. You feel like you've got yourself a much more beautiful car the first time you look at it having been lowered.
