Thought I would share the Skoda Superb Detail Alan (bluevrs2) and I did today on 'Chan 110' 's Superb Elegance 170 CR DSG

Car delivered this morning by Wayne (Chan110) at 9.30 am

The car was pretty badly swilred with some deeper ones on the roof and the boot lid + some scratches inflicted by the previous owners liking for Automatic car washes!!

The front bumper was pretty bad with pebble dashed type stone chips and on the front edge of the bonnet..it has done 74,000 miles as a company car!!

So this is what we did:

1. Wheels cleaned with Meguiars Hot Wheels,,Rinsed

2. Car rinsed thoroughly and APC applied to wheel arches and sills

3. Snow Foamed with Valet Pro pH neutral Snow Foam +Doorshuts and exterior trim done with a detailing brush

4. Rinsed

5. Purple rain applied to wheels and bodywork

6. Rinsed off

7. Washed with TBM and Farecla Detox Shampoo with added Fairy liquid

8. Rinsed and quick dry + a spray of Auto Smart Tardis tar remover and a liberal spray of APC

9. Rinsed and Snow foamed again..rinsed off

10. Dried with Chemical Guys Wooly Mammoth

Car checked with thickness gauge to reveal a healthy thickness of clear coat..............

11. Car polished with Scholl Concept S17+ via a CG Medium polishing pad (DA) & 3M Medium polishing pad (Rotary)

(Some working pictures)

12. Pads changed to CG and 3M Finishing pad and car refined with Menzerna Final Finish Polish (PO 85RD)

13 Out with the finishing pads again and Poorboys Blackhole Glaze applied with the DA

14. Collinite 845 Wax applied via MF applicator pad

15. Wheels sealed with Optimum Optiseal

16. Tyres dressed with Meguiars Endurance Tyre Gel

17. Interior vacuumed..Mats removed, vacuumed and all interior trim and facia/dash cleaned with APC

18. Windows cleaned inside and out with Autoglym Glass Cleaner

19. Door shuts applied with Bilt hamber QD and buffed

+ Tailpiped cleaned with Wire wool and Autosol Metal Polish

20. Some final wiping around with MF cloth and Bilt Hamber QD

(Not done: Carpets Shampooed and Engine Bay)

  • Again massive thanks to Chris for finding the time and putting in all the effort (as i got a bad shoulder from exercising - wink wink ;-) to do a complete overhaul of Audrey, again! The results are

Of course...and all the others!!

Cracking work as always guys!

Yes really hard work today but worth it, Wayne is a top bloke too, he needs to get his center caps replaced under warranty before it runs out as well. Chris you did not mention I used your new detailer ball that attaches on to a drill to ease exhaust center cleaning, as suggested by Ste . Satisfying to get a car that has not been cherished by a former owner return to its former glory

well done chris

wayne is lucky to have you live near you .wish you lived near me you could do mine for me.

bill

Chris / Alan!

Wot can I say?

Chris your detailing on Audrey (Superb) is amazing!

The 1st thing i saw whn i came to pick her up was the super reflection of my self on her bodywork.

Next, the touch was silky smooth (i clay and shampoo my cars - but nothing as smooth as your work on Audrey!)

Alan, real nice R36 - sure is FAST! :-)

These pics shows the true results of both Chris / Alans hard work today:

Chris / Alan - thank you!

PS: Chris wot wipes did u use on the interior?

- I really like tht fragrance for Audrey!

Glad you are pleased Wayne, it was bilt hamber qd . Your nearside brake bulb has blown, and if you take it to Dm Keiths you can have all 4 wheel center caps replaced under warranty, nice pictures

Cheers Alan!

U mean its the BILT stuff tht gave the nice smell in the car?

Have extended the warranty another 2 years - so plenty of time to replace center caps?

Rear brake seems to be working, but warning light still on :-(

I ll refit the brake bulb to see if make difference ...

No only original 3 years for them so drop it off for them to look at them

and yes all bilt hamber stuff has that nice smell

That was one viscous car wash looking at those swirls! Great result guys and Rosso shines up really nicely.

... and the SHINE continues ... 6:30am this morning ....even kept the frost away!

Yes Wayne.

Bilt Hamber QD on the door shuts, but the other smell is Valet Pro Citrus Tar remover I used on the left footrest

Glad you liked it..Alan and I had a good sense of achievement.

CU soon

Fantastic result - and yes Wayne, i love that day after a full detail and the moisture and ice cant get hold on a well polished, selaed, waxed car!

Just jump in and drive..... normally very annoying as my neighbour is de-icing his car at the same time i leave home :giggle:

Again - stunning work from Chris and Alan.... but i would not expect anything less!!!

Mine was white this morning!!

Cu tonight Ste and we can discuss your requirements

That rosso colour really does clean up well ....just waiting to hear back from Baker21 to get mine done now....be interesting to see how well Regency green will polish up

Yes Ste is next for the treatment,( to match his shiny new plates, he really is in our private plated gang now, no moving of black screws to spell your name either! ) just need to arrange a suitable day

...the "treatment"! :giggle: Sounds painful!

Need to get paperwork etc sorted on the plate - jumped the gun a bit on ordering the plates!

Plus you turned up unannounced at the house and spoiled the surprise Alan! :S

Must have sold a load of stuff on eBay again to cover that purchase, sorry I spoilt your surprise

Yeah - plates arrived yesterday - i had just opened them 5 mins before you showed up! ;)

eBay business is slowing a bit - but so far done 40 LED kits for the Mini R56; 4 LED kits for the R36's.

Just waiting on work to pay our bonus next month and get alloys refurbished if all goes well.

Wot plates?

Any pics?

Nice detail there and this colour certainly comes up well after a good machine polish.

Interested to hear that you used Black Hole though, any reasons why?

Sorry for the delay in responding but you now have email...........:)

Audrey looks really good guys. It's a great feeling when you stand back and see a better than just out of the factory look.
