  • Bosch aero flex blades are fantastic and only 20 bucks ish. Smooth quiet efficient blade too.

  • The product picture shows two blades so I hope it is ok. Probably find I get a plastic knife and fork, judging by some reports on this site. I'll pass on news of what arrives!

  • Switch ignition key completely off, then press the wiper stalk down (flick wipe) and they will 'park' up the screen so you can fold them back

Same! Fingers crossed they are the biz...

Just as a completion from my point of view.

New Bosch blades arrived this morning. Managed to put my wipers into "maintenance mode".

Removed and replaced the blades (oh my word - how easy is that fitting mechanism??).

All working as expected. Cannot comment on how good they are as it's not only dry but dry and sunny right now :)

Yes I was amazed how easy the fitting was, by far the best on any car I've had to date.

Excellent - I wasn't looking forward to changing mine, but if it's as easy as you lot are making out, then :)

Takes all of 30 seconds!

Oh just a tip guys, if they send exactly the same type that I received, the rear one has a plastic cover over the blade, I didn't notice when I fitted it, only when I came to use it.....

duly noted

:)

I was in my local asda today and saw some flex/aero wiper blades, £4 each.. Now I know you generally get what you pay for.... But I got a set anyway and first impressions are very good... £8 for a pair of blades isn't bad if you're on a budget.. :)

I'm guessing these were for a MK1? They only seem to sell the retrofit flat blades for the MK1 in my local Asda, not the direct replacement type for the MK2 :(

Well, they arrived yesterday and I fitted them this morning - 2 mins as mentioned on here!!

Quality.

:)

Pete - how did you miss that plastic cover on the rear blade?! :giggle:

I have no idea :-P Glad you approve of them anyway :-)

yeah, good find, cheers.

Fitted mine today, so so easy! that mechanism is well thought out.

Will update in a month or two to let you guys know how the blades are doing

(Mine were the cheap ones from eBay. £11 inc P&P and seem great so far)

Mk2.. Fit fine. There is an adapter in the pack which makes the blade slide onto the pin.

16" 400m for the hatch.

oh and yes same size.

OK, STUPID QUESTION ALERT!!

What's wrong with the Skoda ones from the stealer? Is it just a question of price?

Mine work OK on the Octy VRS and they are OE but come August when I shall have had the car for 2 years, I shall change the blades.

Previously, with company cars (Vauxhalls) I would have got refills from Half-fords but overall they were not particularly brilliant.

Another thought, keeping the screen properly cleaned does help!

Skoda ones are actually Bosch i always stick to Bosch wiper blades no matter the car.

I went to the dealer and paid very little for streak, squeak and judder free oem blades.

The fact that they fitted them for free without me having to ask was a pleasant bonus. Lesson learnt for me, I will never bother hunting for cheap blades again. That was a year ago, and the wipers remain perfect to this day.

Oh blimey Mike I feel bad now for recommending them!!

I must say mine aren't like that at all, I wonder if the blades they send out for these orders are from various manufacturers or something. My rear one was in a printed box but the fronts were just in white packaging.

I think I'd be asking for a refund.

My Valeo ones from CarParts4U are great. But fit them the right way round, as mentioned before, because the instructions seem to be for left hand drive.

ISTR OEM from the dealer were cheaper than that...
