Mine are fine too Mike.

Not noisy at all and work perfectly.

  • Bosch aero flex blades are fantastic and only 20 bucks ish. Smooth quiet efficient blade too.

  • The product picture shows two blades so I hope it is ok. Probably find I get a plastic knife and fork, judging by some reports on this site. I'll pass on news of what arrives!

  • Switch ignition key completely off, then press the wiper stalk down (flick wipe) and they will 'park' up the screen so you can fold them back

Bought my front set (Trico) from Opie oils and they perform really well. Got the the rear blade from Rainworth (genuine) because putting car details in on Opie it was saying that the rear was just a normal wiper blade, rather than the aeroblade type.

I got a set of those cheap £11 blades on eBay and they've been absolutely fine - no noise at all, perfect!

I bought a new back and dual front wiper at the weekend. Admittedly, I probably paid over the odds as I got it from Halfords, but the blades have been fantastic and was the 1st time I've ever actually had to change them. I'm told Halfords brand is basically the same as Bosch so just went with it. Was also suprised at how easy it was too replace them

Back one was making a horrible scratchy noise - new one silent

Front dual arm was smearing the screen - new one silent and no smear

Unfortuantely I've now realised there is a star chip AND a crack in the front screen... another £75 excess from insurance no doubt . Remember hearing 2 big bangs on the screen in the same day, but now they're really showing.. annoying

Decided to treat the car to new wiper blades all round - got the BOSCH ones from Eurocarparts......free delivery and the BRISK25 code worked and got me my discount - happy chappy!

A few weeks on...

...I'm starting to get the same problems Mike pointed out above. The rear one is fine, but the fronts are now starting to overshoot and click when I'm wiping in the fastest setting. Doh!

Mine are still working perfectly...................have you lot fitted them properly?!

:giggle:

I'll be ordering Bosch ones asap too. Fronts only though, as the back is fine IMO.

Just fitted their own make from WiperBlades - good price, easy fitting, silent. Have used Bosch previously - nothing wrong with them, good quality product but just seems a little extra premium for the brand name and nicer packaging. Although changing wipers annually(ish) probably helps more than anything.

What aninteresting boring thread!

For anyone who is after the Bosch blades I ordered the twin pack from Amazon (A937s http://www.amazon.co...3?ie=UTF8&psc=1) for £15 (Halfords also seem to have the same price), not sure if they fit yet though....

That looks a fantastic price - did they fit?

I've just checked, and yep, they drop straight on.

Going at a slight tangent for this thread, the reason I wanted new blades was that they were smearing badly. It turns out that the reason for this wasn't the blades wearing, but the screen wash I picked up in Costco. The (hydrophobic) "rain guard" in the Prestone screen wash does nothing for the rain, but causes horrible smears, looking at Amazon it seems I'm not alone http://www.amazon.co.uk/Prestone-Screen-Wash-Seasons-Litre/dp/B007DIPQQK/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top

I've always used PIAA silicone wipers from demontweeks. Cost plenty but worth it in my opinion. Never need to worry about streaking or skipping.

Will update when I get a set fitted.

Glad to be of sevice! Now just avoid the Prestone All Seasons Screen Wash.....

Adding to the boring thread. I couldn't find the above £15 price on amazon, so used ebay (see attached) for £19.99 + free postage. They arrived and I fitted them in under 30seconds (I've never fitted them before).V happy. Hope they last through winter.yguhahyd.jpg

How long wiper blades last depends a lot on how good your windscreen is.

I've always had used cars before and they've all more or less had worn windscreens. I've put 11000km on this car  since I bought it new in November and the wiper blades are still as good as day one. I hate bad wipers and I would've been planning to replace them right about now on any of my previous cars.

Sorry to Hijack, but i got some for my Mitsi a few years back that as you wipe put a substance like aquapel rainx on the screen and cant for the life of me remember who makes them.

Anyone know?

regards

Lee

Just replaced mine - found Halfords Bosch locally were about £32, Halfords own make £30, so got Valeo again from Carparts4less for about £16. incl. postage. They always seem to work well. and fit exactly as OEM

Wouldn't use those from Amazon ,

NOT to be used in traffic, !!   Protective equipment to be used !!

according to the product safety blurb!
