I have been trying to find info on my newly aquired series 1 fabia 1.9 tdi elegance estate on the net and this site. I have no handbook, the paint code has been obliterated and I have no radio code. I will be visiting a Skoda dealer next week hoping to resolve these issues. Most switches and controls I have figured out, when the car is unlocked a large red light stays on, low down on the drivers door, is this correct? The car is a dark metallic grey, the centre figure in the paint code is a '9' anyone know the full code. Any info on removing the radio/CD to find it's serial number would be appreciated.

Welcome to the site. have a look in the Mk1 Fabia section. At the top you will find some pinned items one of which is useful info including build codes and paint codes. To remove the radio you need some radio keys. Again using the search option in the fabia section may assist you in finding a related thread to give you the answer.
