Hello there i have just orderd myself a brand new 13 Plate Monte carlo will be picking it up in a few weeks, looking forward to picking it up i would appreciate any ideas what to do to it when i get it any ideas ? and what should i do with the VCD ?

Welcome to the forum.. the monte is a great car , what colour did you get ? As to vcd's I'd get auto door lock + blip on door lock .. good luck with your new car ...

Definitley get 1 touch unlock done, and auto locking on the doors when you drive off, something like 10mph IIRC.

I've got a red one at the moment, does look great, just ordered a white one as I think that shows the black/white contrast off best :-)

My dad has a 12 plate white monte, he is 40+ I am 19 nearly 20 and just ordered a new one can't wait for it to get shipped over

I asked for: auto locking (when driving off); auto unlocking (when taking out key - programmed separately);

one-touch auto-repeat indicators (three flashes I think); driver's door only unlock on first click (you then have to press it twice to unlock all the doors).

Hello i am also waiting for me 13 plate brand new monte carlo 1.2 105tsi in Grey. You mention above that you can get it so when you press the button it just opens the drivers door and rest stay locked, also that when you reach 10mph that the doors lock. Doesnt the car come like this from the factory? if not how can i get it to do this.

Hi I'm looking to order a Monte Carlo this week, the one I'm hopefully getting has Bluetooth prep but the sales man tells me it's not maxidot. Now I have a vrs already and I can't see how you can function the Bluetooth prep without maxidot :- scrolling phonebook, dialing numbers, incoming call display and phone battery and signal info all surely would need the maxidot?

Andy it doesn't come like that from factory when you pick it up you have to ask them to program it

Yes that's the same cable skoda use

even though ive not got sat nav spec i undrstand i can fit it after i take delivery of the car. is it really worth it. i found one on ebay and it suggested that it had bluetooth.

Not sure I'd go with skoda, I have looked at a few but there from like china and Hong Kong doesn't seem worth it to me just in case something goes wrong with it
