  • He looks like a lonely body seeking a meaningful relationship with a brain. What a bell end :wonder:

I think his brother owns the place and he works there

if it were me i'd take a blow torch with me for use on him after i booted the front door down.... in your case however its probably not wise to advertise the fact you are going round there to front him up on an open internet forum in case this all turns nasty

Unsuprisingly he is now off-line, he was on whilst this debate has been rumbling.

Suspect he's read it and legged it?

No I will so it all legally, I just want some sort of contact and see what plan he can come up with

It's awful now I have no money to get my 4x4 on the road as I have no bumper

Or just re-registered with a completely different name so he can keep an eye on the thread?

He doesn't need to be logged in or even registered to read threads. And he can be identified and blocked if he tries to sign up with a new user name.

I don't know if it is because I am really grumpy at the moment (man flu for the past two weeks!), but I reckon people like this should be "taken out" if you get my drift. They spend all their lives ripping off honest people, and even when they are caught, the police/justice system just give them suspended sentances or minimum prison terms. Once released they start all over again.

I am surprised that nobody has taken direct action against this guy yet, after all, the authorities do not seem capable of doing anything.

Did you go to his home?

All I can say I will get all my money back one way or the other! I ain't a one to just think damn!

Always go with PayPal or credit card. That way u can always reverse the payment/put forward a legit claim.

That's the problem with paying on PayPal through 'gift payment' I'm sure you can't claim anything back?

Correct. Gift payments aren't covered.

Although I have to say PayPal aren't always the most active, interested party in sorting out issues with rogue sellers. So it's not exactly a 100% watertight guaranteed 'no risk' route.

Did you go to his home?

No I haven't had to yet, hopefully I will get the rest of the money and that's all I want

I'm a bit late coming in to this so pardon me if I'm repeating prior advice.

Possible points of pressure:

- his bank, who won't be happy providing him with facilities for fraud

- his employer (maybe?)

- the local council (if he's in a council house)

- his local police (Widnes)

- his local Trading Standards office (Widnes)

- Watchdog

- Crimebusters freefone

- his local press or perhaps someone like the Manchester Evening News

If the scrote has gotten away with it for as long as he appears to have done you'll need sustained pressure on the "authorities" to take action. The length of time will also help in getting the likes of Trading Standards or the media interested, especially if you can provide some evidence.

There's also the option of civil pressure; a social meet of helpful people who decide to go knock on his door and see what he has to say for himself. No threats, no violence, just letting him know he can't hide any more.

He doesn't need to be logged in or even registered to read threads. And he can be identified and blocked if he tries to sign up with a new user name.

That really depends on how intelligent he is. However given he is giving people his address hes not very intelligent!

I think he should speak to us all on here for all the people he has upset I think that is the least he could do, his name is so popular but this time it's different

He sent me the £50 bank transfer so that's a step really

OK movement at least, lesson learnt me thinks.

Sad fact is you aren't the first and won't be the last.

He sent me the £50 bank transfer so that's a step really

You show more patience than me....

He sent me the £50 bank transfer so that's a step really

Make sure the transfer has been cleared by your bank ASAP, he might not have the funds to support it.

Good Luck
