Passenger Airbag: where does it deploy from?

Sitting in the car this week I noticed Mrs Frozboz had a large bag on her lap and, being the caring loving spouse that I am, I suggested (as you do  ) that it might be better to put the bag else where to avoid obstructing the airbag should it be required. She thanked me for my kind concern (as one might expect :giggle: ) but then asked the quite reasonable question of where the airbag would actually deploy from.

So my question for the knowledgeable community: where exactly would the passenger airbag come out from? 1.2 TSI in case it makes the difference.

As you can see from this photo it's from the top of the Yeti dash, best not to have anything on your lap!

That is what I expected, but the passenger dash is entirely smooth - there is no obvious compartment for the bag to come out of (hence my question)

If I understand these rescue sheets correctly, the Yeti has a driver's airbag in the dash (as does the Superb II) in addition to the one in the steering wheel.

PS The extra airbag shown in the rescue sheet is a knee bag, so I guess it is under the dash. I live and learn.
