Well, I've now had it back for a few weeks, and ran it up to the Lakes and back, and all I can say is wow!

Smoother, better pick-up AND more economical

Win-win-win.................in fact absolutely jam-packed with win!

Thanks to the Shark team, you've turned out another great map

Excellent! How much extra power are you getting?

I'm getting more and more tempted to get a remap by the day.

Enjoy it!

I think he might be, but can't swear to it

Yes, we've already done several DPF removals for the 1.6TDI.

Are there further gains in torque and power and/or economy with it removed?

How much does the shark re-map cost?

Thanks.

REVO have a map out for this as well now. Gains on the 75ps model are awesome.

Almost 220lb/ft torque and over 140bhp from the stage 1 map?! Wow. thats unbelievable.

To be sung to the tune of 'Amore'

When the figures hit the roof,

But you really need more proof,

It's a Revo

Very few forum posts make me lol but that did!

But to counter your crooning, whilst I am not a huge REVO fan, it works well on my Scout, as can be seen from the curve.

In this post for anyone interested

It would be nice to see an actual dyno plot from a competitors map, rather than a graphical representation.

Our remap is £399 inc VAT. We also have a DPF removal option for the 1.6TDI.

Did you click my link above then Ben?

I have now yes, thanks for posting that.

Very interested indeed. I have the 75bhp version and want it remaped, but i also fancy the DPF gone also.... have the vehicles already done exhibited any issues following the DPF removal ? How much extra does it cost on top of the remap costs for this removal ?

No problems at all, we have a handful of cars out there running our DPF removal for the 1.6TDI, it isn't yet as popular as the 2.0TDI DPF removal and of course not as many cars have been done and therefore spoken about on here.

Our DPF removal with Stage 0 remap is £499 (no extra power) and Stage 1 remap £719 (power to 130bhp) including VAT.

£719 bloody hell ! What's the point

£719 bloody hell ! What's the point

Thank you for your constructive words..

The pricing conforms to our normal structure, the Stage 1 remap is £399, DPF removal option £200 and labour £120. There is also a Stage 0 option for those who only want to remove the DPF which is far, far cheaper than replacing the DPF.

It's personal choice, of course.

£719 bloody hell ! What's the point

Im guessing youve not driven one that had it done properly? IMO it offers fantastic bang per buck (in my personal opinion!) Whats the point? A shed load more power, more torque, smoother drive AND better economy, done in the right way! Its about a grand to replace the DPF so less for removing the issue and having the additional performance is a no brainer. :)

£719 bloody hell ! What's the point

The point ..... well firstly, what a stupid question.

1. You may do a lot of town driving, a DPF is essentially a consumable part, price one up, the DPF removal option is a hell of a lot cheaper (DPF on my Toyota Avensis 2.2 was £3k including Labour under Warranty)

2. You get what you pay for, it needs a delete pipe, it needs someone to do the labour, all of this costs money and it has to be mapped out, even if going for the delete option

£719 is not a bad price for it in the grand scheme of things, if you think you will benefit from it, DPF removal is not all about performance.

Raw nerve touched :( , I probably will get mine done but hopefully the price will have gone south by then ;) ,dont get me wrong if it works in the real world and all it claims is provided what the hell, hopefully as the map progresses and more feed back is given on all aspects including problems that may occur( ie gearbox n clutch issues) I won't be doing mine until after warranty but I asked the question " what's the point" is it worth the £719 ? If so why , fuel economy ? Ease of use ( driving smoother?) all these are fair questions
