Decided to do the long overdue rear brakes tonight. Spent more time searching for my m14 spline bit than it did to fit them. Had to buy a new set in the end!

Dust guards were shot so they've been binned.

Had my money's worth out of those.

Carrying on with smoothing things the front plate mount will hopefully be attacked at the weekend if my plastic welding kit turns up.

Also going are the rear bumper reflectors which I've stripped down ready to plastic weld.

Why do you have 2 CAI's? Headlight and foglight? Looking nice!

No particular reason, fog light one for when the standard headlight is in and the other for nice hot days or track days if I ever decided to do one

Today all my plastic weld tackle should've arrived but it didn't.

Started the jobs while I awaited del and they didn't turn up so for now it's looking rough and unfinished :D

And a mate sorted me some A pillars out so I can get cracking on another pillar pod.

Hopefully everything I need should've turned up by next weekend so I can get it all welded up and fillered

Managed to get I've to my mate's audio place earlier and collect my front speaker mounts.I'll collect the rears in the week as he's doing them between jobs :)

Used the jbl 6.5" components front and rear that I removed from the 4x4.

Can't wait to see this after paint. I really like the MK2 without a spoiler and that smoothed rear bumper I think will look great. My MK2 FL is black magic too, the car really suits the colour

Bored of the filler look and with moving house it's put any time I'd got to make progress on the bumpers on hold so for now I've rattle canned them to tidy it up a bit.

Once we're in and settles at the new place I'll send it to the body shop to finish it properly.

Not a lot happening of late, well nothing good anyway.

I did change a few bits through the carista app and run a thorough diagnostic check :D

Indicators are now sidelights

It has developed a knocking noise which I think is driveshaft related but until I can get it on a lift it's just a guessing game.

Logo'd pillar has gone to be redone thanks to the crazy heat a few weeks ago causing the glue to melt. White logo being done this time round.

Found out that one of the metal ind pipes has been cut in half for some reason hence the extra silicone joiner near the maf which I'd always wondered about.

Lot of plans Inc rear cage, louvered bonnet, paint, wheels, new coil overs and bucket seats which may mean it coming off the road again for a while so I don't have to rush.

Yes mate tigerclaws.

No rubbing unless I'm pushing on and hit some uneven road or cornering hard.

I imagine there will be if I get the family in lol. New coil overs are on the cards anyway so I can adjust bump & rebound to stiffen it up a bit
