Annoying "rattle" cured

Featured Replies

I've had a noise from the rear seat area for some time and had an idea it might be the parcel shelf.

A few thumps of bits of trim/panels sort of confirmed the idea. I just stuck a sliver of black foam on the little "ledge" on the side panels of the boot area. The shelf lodges on this bit - so it was good to find that the noise had vanished.

Hope it might solve someone's niggle.

I have many rattles and buzzing sounds in my cabin. Every time I take it in to have them checked out they can't hear or find them.

Maybe it's because the source of all the rattles and buzzing has been left at home.

(When I emptied the car of everything in its cubby holes.)

If you are still thinking about car rattles and posting about them at midnight I suggest the 'cure' would be a stiff whisky a bedtime!!

Whenever I empty a car of everything prior to driving to the dealer for part-exchange, it always strikes me as "Wow the car is really quiet and smooth now, seems faster too. Why am I selling it?"

Gosh, for a moment there, I thought you were alluding to someone else in the car.

The wife's false teeth perhaps? ;)
