And the make/model of it will only depend on the power of your imagination! :giggle:

  • 3 weeks later...

Photoshop!

That's a hybrid of MKII and MKIII

:)

Are we any closer to understanding what engine will be powering the new vRS?

The reason I ask is that a collegaue as just ordered one of these: Seat Leon FR

It has a 2.0 CR 185PS engine with some impressive emissions of 112g/km.

Is it likely that this will float over the corporate fence to Skoda, or is there another engine lined up for the vRS?

That's the engine that the VRS will be getting too.

The emissions might be a smidge higher because of the weight, but it's very likely to stay in the £30 road tax bracket.

The new 4x4 155 mph Octavia Vrs will only be available in yellow

No other colour option. Never.

U guys really do get off light with road tax, in Ireland it's €710 to tax my 07 Vrs diesel, anything after 08 is €390 in diesel and a petrol Vrs from 08 > is €750.

I'm hoping the new Vrs will be down to €300 ish.

Don't forget that in UK we pay an average of 10% more for diesel than your local filling stations so that effectively wipes out any difference in tax for anyone travelling more than 18k per year based on a car returning 50mpg.

I never knew that, thanks for making me feel better about our high tax :) how much is diesel a Litre in the uk now?

In Fort William it's hovering around £1.37 / £1.38 at present.

Sarge.

l paid £1.38 last weekend at a Jet near Sheff, which is about €1.62, I think you are hovering around the €1.48 mark according to a quick google! I have seen Asda selling diesel at £1.36 yesterday so there seems to be a bit of a price war at mo, not long ago, was paying £1.45 at supermarkets.

Sounds too quiet.

Don't see how you get to quite when the camera is doing nothing but picking up wind from the unprotected mic. There is a bit of growl when you see it going past the Audi sign.

no rear wiper which in my opinion looks good.

Superskoda have the new VRS badges for sale on their site.

I know it's still disguised, but I'm liking the deep intake on the front bumper and the general low, wide stance of the new RS:

The red one seems to have the front assist radar in the lower grille, promising news for those looking for a high spec vRS! Liking the black roof too!... is that panoramic?

I was wondering about the roof too. Until now we've only seen the larger sunroof on the estate.

Prob won't be an option in UK if SUK have anything to do with it! :wall:

Know it's disguised but I hope that black strip isn't there

the black strip won't be.

Just noticed it's also right hand drive so SUK will have no excuse if these options not available on UK spec, this one also seems to have park assist as front sensors also fitted!
