Lower springs with standars shocks etc and no coilovers?

Featured Replies

So i want to lower my car slightly without slamming it or being stupidly low. im looking at some new wheels etc and just dont want the "stilt" look that its rocking at the min.

So my question is can i put some lower springs on my car with standard shocks etc and not have to fork out for coilovers that are going to ruin the ride?

And if there is such a thing can anyone reccomend any in particular? Thanks :D

I'm running Eibach springs on my Fabia using standard shocks :)

I have recently swapped the original standard suspension for AP coilovers - the ride is still ok but the stability is much improved - I guess you need to accept the compromise.

Yes you can

Use eibach pro springs or h&r ones as they are designed to work with standard dampers as the spring they use is progressive

Similar boat here. Can anyone recommend a place to buy?

Venom motorsport

Demon Tweeks

Which ones do you use and does it matter if theyre designed for the Vrs because mines a petrol so the engine will be much lighter possibly making the front end stay raised?

I'm using the Eibach Pro-Kit springs

Don't think Eibach springs for a vRS would be suitable for the 1.4 MPI

I'm still using the stock springs...............................BUT with Koni FSD dampers......................VERY GOOD!!!!!!!!

You can also use those dampers with the Eibach spring kits as well if you want

Okay thanks for the advice

Yes.

I ran Eibach's on my Fabia for circa 100k and latterly, 40k or so, H&R springs both on standard shocks

Which would you say are better ride quality? And better all round?

Eibachs. H&R felt a bit crashy TBH although the car sat slightly lower on the H&R.

A lot will also depend on how many miles your shocks have covered.

If we can be any help with advise or prices just let me know.

Dampers are usually past best after 60k but can last all the way to 100k, it's just depend on the life they've had and what condition they're in.

Are you wanting the Eibach Pro springs?

Any pics of people on eibach springs please?

I have Apex springs on standard shocks. Doesn't feel too harsh and its alot more stable in corners. I would recommend them.

Ill post a pic of mine with Apex since i think they are the same drop as the eibach. http://imgur.com/a/WheTo Sorry about my rubbish stealies. In the market for some new alloys but i dont want to spend too much.
