I thought fabias didn't come with leather.

The SE comes with leather as standard then it was a factory option later in it's life. Loads of people have upgraded to a leather retrim.

Only the SE's came with leather as standard, think it might have been a costly option on non SE model.

From the red stitching it might be that someone's had their seats retrimmed by Seat Surgeon's. Quite a few folk had theirs done, highly recommended.

Cheers it's in a 53 black VRS so just wondered. 65000 miles £5000. Is that the going rate? I wanted the optional xenons and cruise but they seem really rare.

No that's a factory trim mines got a seat surgeon trim and its nothing like it they don't use the shiney leather nor the same stitching design, the factory leather option was red stitched apart from the SE which was blue which I don't get coz wouldn't the stitching be better green in a standard one lol

Deffo factory leather :)

I'd say it's Seat Surgoens. The door cards are done to match. If its a '53' plate the the shiny look may be down to it being worn.

AFAIK the 'factory leather' was often done by the dealers who would send the car off for a re-trim rather than paying £1200 or so for the factory job.

Thanks for all the info. What about the price is that the going rate?

Seat surgeons don't put the stitched vrs sign in the same place and the seats are exactly the same design as the se seats which are factory fit they are rare but I really don't think them are seat surgeons :)

Bit pricey for a 53 but it is only 65k which is low I would haver personally said £4k

thats standard trim. original owner must have spec'd it from new

That's very expensive. I agree around the £4,000 mark is more like it. I recently sold my 55 plate with 23,000 miles for £5,500. Most of the dealer prices are stupidily high. I very much doubt they would sell at those prices.

You could get a nice 05/06 plate for that price me thinks

Alexe3s red fabia vrs has black leather with red stitching, just like the pics you posted. It's a very costly and rare factory extra.

Yeah that's pushing my limit. As I said really wanted cruise and xenons as ill be doing 24k a year motorway miles. You reckon that's asking to much for a 5k spend. I have a VRS estate mk1 to trade in.

The trouble is even the newest cars are going to be 5 years old so low mileages are getting rarer. You should be able to get a newer car than a 53 plate for £5000 with reasonable mileage. If you like that car try and haggle the price down because that's too much to pay for that age and mileage.

The SE stitching is blue and the individual car issue number is embossed in the leather under the VRs logo

Thats factory, i have it in mine, the exact same.

That's the same as my interior

That's not factory fit.

- it has red stitching

- the logo is in a different spot

Not seat surgeons either

-they use different, better leather

-they leave a label at the back of the front seats.

It'll be another company which have used a leather that matches OEM. Not ideal IMO, the OEM leather is very slippery and seems to crack quite easily from other owners pics.

That's not OEM as mention. Green stitching on the factory stuff

Its an optional extra, i work with someone who came from Skoda and he told me it is. its also on the PR code when i checked when i bought it to double check. that picture might not be, but mine looks almost identical in every way, just because its not green or SE blue doesn't mean it isn't genuine. i might be wrong but everything i've seen tells me otherwise :S

Thats genuine factory leather.

Ours has the leather option from new, seats look similar but not with the red stitching.

That's not factory, the door cards are covered too.

I had factory leather in my Fabia, it's similar to this. The factory leather has red Piping, rather than stitching as shown in these photos.
