2013 Fabia New Style Emblems

Featured Replies

Visited the dealership today, they have the part numbers for the new style emblems that are designed for the Fabia II facelift.

Part numbers are:-

5J0 853 621 AUL - rear badge, fits in recess perfectly
5J0 853 621 A AUL - front badge, slightly larger than rear badge

5JA 601 151 FOD - 4x wheel emblems, tight fit but they do fit all Fabia II alloys

Now what next to update, anyone crashed a facelift Monte yet, want the steering wheel lol..... :giggle:

Fantastic

Keep us all posted!

I got them a little more than a week ago from my Dealer, but I didn't get the part numbers - so thumbs up AdamJMK!! :)

I am suprised that the front and rear badges are the same, as I thought they may be different. Can you confirm this Kent (DK) ? - Also are they easy to swap over?

The Dealer swapt them for me, so I can't say. I'll check tomorrow to see if they are different.

But disappointed, just ordered our new fabia, not keen on the new badges. Do think I'd be able to get the old style badges put on?

I would like to make clear that those who will try and fit the badge "5JA 853 621 AUL" at the boot to be aware that it will not sit inside the recess of the boot but over it and it will need silicone to stay in place. Front recess is 8.8cm and boot recess is 8.5cm. It seems to me that there is one more badge of which we don't know the code of and which will fit properly on all Fabias old and the latest. UNLESS the latest Fabias got a larger recess but I doubt that due to extra costs. Anyways be patient and ask the dealer again if the part numbers are correct.

Correct badge for the boot for all FABIAS MKII is "5J0 853 621 AUL"

Also for the wheel caps there is this code too: "5JA 601 151 ULM"
They fitted my vRS wheels just fine and will fit most Skoda wheels too.
Very confusing that there is one more code, god knows why.

As above the front amd rear badges are differed i used Citigo front badges and rear requires silcone to fit.

Its looks good if done right

So how difficult, or possible, is it to change the steering wheel logo?

I wouldn't mess around removing it and sticking a new in its place, unless you want it to fly in your face when an airbag deploys. Better replace the whole airbag unit which comes with the cover and the new emblem.

Thanks for the info, I thought the dealership had got it wrong when I measured the front and rear badges and they differed slightly

Always good to know the dealers are useful, not. Lol!

Okay, no need to check it then.

Probably a daft question but how do you fit these things?

Access to the front looks easy but for the rear is it stuck on or does some trim need to come off from the hatch area?

Both bonnet and boot badges can be removed from the front - no need to remove trims or other parts. Tape the area around the badge very well so you don't damage the surface by mistake and use a hairdryer to warm up the badge so the adhesive tape behind it gets softer. Then use some dental floss in a seesaw motion behind the badge to losen it up and use a plastic tool to lift it up. Repeat until you are done.

The Dealer swapt them for me, so I can't say. I'll check tomorrow to see if they are different.

looks like the rear badge is inside the reses

the newer badges do indeed sit in a recess, been back to dealership today and they had a fabia in the showroom with new badges.

Roll on next Friday as should be able to attempt the swap :)

I'm not that keen either - making the winged arrow bigger emphasises the asymmetry of the design and I prefer the text and green elements of the older badge. Love the arctic green colour on Kent DK's estate though.

What about the rear badges for the estate?

Upload photos to Photobucket and make a link here so the appear on this site. It is very easy.

Can the front and back badge fit my mk1 fabia?

A quick bump........

Finally got round to changing the emblems today.
The part numbers are definently these as they both fit as they should and look completely OEM.

5J0 853 621 AUL
5J0 853 621 A AUL

For the pair just a few pence over £30.

Easy to fit, mask off the area around the badges with masking tape making sure none of the paint is visible, use a flat bladed screw driver with masking tape and work around the edges of the badges until they start lifting off.
Clean up with a bit of tar remover, fit new ones. You can't fit them wonky as they have locating lugs.

Won't take more than about 15-20 minutes, as shown:-

The later ones definitely suit the yellow car better.

Agreed, and I have them on my white car which also looks good, because the green bit on the old badges matches nothing.

On the other hand,if you've got a green car, keep the old badges!!
