Yeah i know i should have Lloyd, first time i looked round i was to busy looking at nice motors and by time i looked up i was way past the brisky stand :|

Then we were going back to catch the drifting (although wouldn't have missed much if we had missed it) and then on way back you had gone.

Nevermind next event :) your beast did look sweet tho!!! I still was ch's :( but the R32s will get me by for now!

Pete, i think i may have to bite the bullet and splash out on the vredesteins!!! What finish do they call your wheels? They are super shiney :)

Hi Sam they are Nickle chrome powder coat. Done by Lepsons in Gillingham Kent.

Ohhhh that sounds expensive :|

IM really tempted to give the re furb a bash myself, as the car is not mint so i wont worry about an iffy bit here and there, but the only thing i worry about is the final finish and getting some decent shine on them!

Think i may do the prep and see if i can get a deal on just the final spraying!

Cheers Lloyd may take you up on that!

Although its not the waxing in worried about its the poverty spec compared to yours and petes!

I may have a few more bits added by then but nothing compared to you guys and others out there!!!

Although if its like this time SWMBO will need the car that day!!!

Thanks Davey :)

The more i look at the pics the more i like!!!

Just got to decide on how to refurb now tho, go pro or diy? I want to give them a bash myself, BUT ive not got a massive amount of time on my hands and my tyres really are getting low! Plus there are many many spokes to sand :|

I think if i can get a couple of matching part worn pirellis to go with the 2 on these that have some life in them then i could use tyre funds to pay for a professional refurb!

Got a quote of £240 for shot blasted and powder coated which is a good quote as i can see it costing me £150 to do it diy, as i wouldn't want to do the final finish on them i would just prep them and get them sprayed by a bodyshop!

Anyone know any other powder coaters in Somerset/south west area?

Not in your area but The Wheel Specialist in Leeds quoted me £380 to remove my wheels, remove/refit tyres and powdercoat.

Elite Wheel Repairs in Leeds have quoted £280 for the same service but CAS Coatings in Bradford (well known locally for doing an excellent job) will do bare wheels for £120 (for 18"s).

Unfortunately I don't have spare rims to roll around on so it'll be getting booked in with Elite next week probably...

I can imagine DIY, especially on R32s being a real pain in the behind.

£120, now that would be a price i would be happy to pay!

Was that with blasting aswell?

Ive emailed a few local companies today and so will hopefully get a decent quote back!

Lloyd, what is a good price? ;)

Just had a quote of £148 - £188 dependant on how long they take to blast!

So quotes are coming down nicely! Still waiting on a few quotes to come through aswell!

If my car was as minty as yours i would pay that and get them done!

But sadly its not so if its not quite as good a job but a chunk cheaper then i will be happy!

Put in a few offers on ebay for some part worn pirellis aswell so hopefully they may get back on the car sooner than i thought :)

SWMBO is not happy with them sat in the garden either!

Well phoned a few different places today for powder coating and shot blasting the wheels. Cheapest quote ive had so far is £35 a wheel, which to be honest i don't think I will beat. So if i cant find anywhere else I may drop them off on Thursday and picked up end of next week hopefully.

Place in warminster, so only 20mins from me. Sounds like a little set up which could be a good thing or could be a bad thing. Will pop down Thursday if i cant find anything cheaper.

Next best was £45 a wheel.

To be honest never had powder coating done before and just assumed it was priceier than it actually is!!!

May be rolling on the R32's next week :)

Oh and i think it may need a turn or 2 down :| (waits for Lloyds smugness)
