Thanks for that, 700 nuts for the Variant 1 kit ,,,, "kinel"!

800 for the V2 & 1K for the V3. They've gotta be good at these prices

Mine's sitting up like a Preying Mantis at the moment, just got to get it sorted!

Is yours a 4x4 estate?

yep, also had landrover-esque suspension, not any longer :D

in fact i need to raise the front a bit :o

Thanks again Bengie.

What height are you gunna settle for?

ie How much is it lowered from the standard setting? 35-65mm is the range for the KW's.

My Octy 4x4 on KW V3's http://www.briskoda.net/gallery/showimage.php?i=1357&c=500&userid=19

The car is lowered to about Rs height, Ive grounded it a few times so any lower would I think be un wise. KW also give a range within which they work, in theory I can go down about another 10mm but will not bother. Also the rear camber can not be adjusted on the 4x4 without fitting adjustable lower arms (

Stuart_J; Top stuff mate.

Thanks for that. I'm waiting for "Big Boy's Toy's" to get back to me with the prices.

Suspension; It's just gotta be done!

not sure on my height, but its a it low. i have grounded it a few times and broken the sump once :o

much difference in the v2's with the v3's? worth the extra

V3's give more adjustment & perform slightly better, IMO worth the extra, Ive tried both.

As for where to get them suggest you shop around, Importers are Recaro 01926 484111 & they will probably sell direct, There are various other agents around the country such as Jabba who might just offer a better price.

stuart, is it hard to set the rebound up though? v3, more trouble than they are worth?

Im embarased to say I dont know, the "out of the box" settings are so good I havent touched them yet, I guess from reading the instructions its fairly easy. Jon (TaviaRs) has had a couple of sets of V3's on his Octys & hes bound to have played with them, I know he rates them fairly highly, Suggest you Pm him. Stuart

Ok "peeps", Suspension sorted. KW's feel good. Remaped also, 212bhp now.

Next job, S/S exhaust required. Anybody know who does one for a 1.8T 4x4 Estate?

Bengie, your the estate man, any ideas?

Haywood Spratt or Blue Flame

Haywood were talking 700 to 800 for a custom full system when I had my 4x4.

Now that said Stuart has had his done and I'm not sure where or if that much. Stuart is away on the cannonball atm so might be worth dropping him a pm and sitting tight.

Hayward & Scott is who Col is refering to in his drug addled state :D

Have a look in the Tyres, Wheels, Brakes and Exhaust section of our Links (access via button at top of page). Alternatively, click on the link below:

PS: The 4X4 Hatch and Estate have the same exhaust.

Top stuff!

I've had a quick look, it may make a bit more sence in the morning when "she's" not around!

Thanks.

Hold on! I've been told that the two systems are different!

The fitting on the "hatch" involves modifying the rear bumper, this can't be done on the "estate" because there's a bit lump of metal in the way thats not on the hatch!

Unless I've been fed a load of Billy Rolocks!

I have rechecked and ETKA does not differentiate between Hatch and Estate for the 4X4 exhausts, although exhaust part numbers do differ depending on whether petrol or diesel engine.
