EGR Delete on BLT Engine

Featured Replies

I've recently bought a EGR Delete kit for my BLT engined vRS from the group buy on this forum. This kit contains a small pipe that replaces the EGR valve next to the anti-shudder valve, keeping that in situ, as well as a blanking plate. I know that removing the EGR on a BLT puts the EML on, which needs to be mapped out, but what about the EGR cooler which is part of BLT engines? I've heard stories of a corrugated pipe that is part of the cooler splitting, is this due to the blanking plate being in the wrong place and if so, where should it be? I've also heard of Darkside doing a replacement pipe for BLT engines, is this required?

Basically what I'm after is a definite answer as to what is needed to properly delete the EGR on a BLT engine and avoid any split pipes or other issues. Thanks.

Fit the blanking plate at the exhaust manifold, not on the small pipe.
