Collected L&K last week for dad

That's what lots of people like about leather furniture!

Will get the L&K out tomorrow, washed, and photo's taken for you all - Our's is Silver.

Al.

Regards the leather, not all cars are the same.

Some have nice tight seats and some come with a bit more slack in them that age quicker.

I complained about mine when I got it a the driver seat bolster was not a very good fit.

Not that anything got done about it and the seats have now been ripped apart and recreated in nappa leather.

The seats in my Wife's Elegane were better made than mine.

Regards the pedals, you can get the silver ones on SuperSkoda.

I've already bought a set for my Yeti and they've been delivered. :)

Seems the Octavia VRS ones are a direct fit. Either that or they are buying L&K european ones.

error

I think we'll have to accept that the leather seats will quickly have that 'lived in' look :(

Maybe OK on furniture........ but in a car?

Richard is right of course, Nappa leather is the best.

Back in the day we always had our cars re-trimmed in nappa leather by a company in Winchester called Millmans, who did all the work for Saab UK (dealer fitted leather option). Mostly, we had the seats done in a "rouched" finish which meant no sagging, although maybe a bit 80's now.

Let me know how easy they are to fit - I rather fancy making this change but am the world's worst DIY-er!

Each to their own as ever but to my eyes it is best leaving dirty mechanicals black so they are near invisible. Putting shiny silver bits on your pedals and drawing attention to something muddy feet step on regularly, does not make (visual) sense to me. ETTO. :hi:

The L&K does look lovely though.

They make it go faster Johann. :)

:) Thought as much. Just like go-faster stripes! LOL

But so much more discreet!

But seriously, I have metal pedals on my French Pug 207cc and find they give a very comfortable grip with all shoes in all weathers.

Hence I was on about "visual" pollution. I have no doubt that they grip as well as normal pedals!

Amusing this thread. I have the metal look pedals in the Subaru; and they are actually made of metal too. But because they are, Subaru have had to install rubber "spots" all over the surface to stop them being slippery!

All those pedals have black rubber inserts TBH.

And it's the two materials - metal and rubber - that ensure a good grip whatever footwear is evident, dry, dusty, muddy or wet!

I've got metal pedals on my four year old Octavia. The only person to ever notice was my son who drove it one afternoon and on his return said "Are you aware your rubber cover has come off your brake pedal ?" Won't be fitting them to the Yeti, they seem expensive for what they offer.
