Lowest mileage per annum?

Featured Replies

Personally my Rev 2 MR2 TBAR, between Feb last year and Feb this year it did less than 1,000 miles.

That said its a 1993 model and has 182,600 miles on the clock. So previous owners must have thrown the miles on. As since I have owned it (3.5 years) it has done 9,000 miles in total. So average of what, 2,600ish :/

Now the Fabia I bought in October has done 160k+ now so in 6 months or so it has done 8,000 miles!

VX220 has done around 2,500 miles in my ownership in about a year and a half.

The gixxer I have done a total of like 100 miles on it... in nearly three years (I blame a house move and the fact every sold their bikes when I bought mine!)

My Ibiza I know has done easy sub 1000 miles in the last 2 years too. It has done 0 in over a year haha.

The missus has a C1 has she drives to work and back (around 1.5 miles a day) then the odd trip to unit where all mine are! So she is on target for sub 1k a year too :)

Wow that's not a lot of miles is it...

We recently sold a M plate (1994) Felicia that had 128 miles on it.

My Daughter inherited a 1993 Nissan Micra when an old inlaw popped her clogs, mileage then (3 yrs ago) was 17000 miles.

I just bought a H reg Skoda Rapid with 38,000 miles on the clock. Daverapid has an Estelle with only 12,000 miles on the clock! Mental.

As for my own personal mileages... around 10k p/a.

 It's 19,000 miles Rob. It's a 1983 120LE, still quite low mileage for 30 years!

26k on my 2009 Octavia. The citigo is two months old and has 2k miles on the clock.

Though my fabia has only had about 10 miles since its MOT last year but that's because its been in storage.

My other car has just had its first MOT with 3,015 miles on the clock.

12k in 4 years owning my Fabia vrs.

About 800 miles in the S3 since purchase

Polo must be about 500 mile. MAX between mots!

I interviewed a client recently and he did less than 100 miles a year. He was thinking of getting rid of his car!

There is a 98 1.6 that I see each year that has done a total of 7k. The last time it had done 270 since the last service. It does its miles 3 at a time.

My wifes 07 plate Roomster has 20k on the clock, before that our octy averaged 2k a year (but we did live in Fulham, London so didn't do a great amount of miles). My Monte should do about 8k this year, and thats my average, but my 12 plate bike has 45k on the clock already, time for a new one I thnk.

SWMBOs first car was a Pug 205 Junior, purchased at 11 years old with 15,000 miles on the clock, so thats less than 1400 per year. It had been her Auntie's shopping trolley since new and came with every mot, tax disc, service invoice and a book listing every fill up, the mileage and how many litres of fuel purchased. It ran like a dog until I changed the carb for one off a scrapper that I paid £10 for and then we had several trouble free years of motoring until it made way for various Skodas! We sold it to a friend and within a few weeks had been nicked and never seen again :( I think we sold it with about 36k on the clock so that raised the average to about 2400 per year. She averages about 5k in the OctyII, currently coming up for 4 yrs old and just ticked over to 21k, will be a good buy in a few years, we let the OctyI go for £1600 at 8 years old, with about 42k on the clock, although that was a trade in and we did also get £3k off list and before all the vat free deals started!

My 2004 Z4 has just clocked over 25k miles but the current family low milage winner is Mums fiat panda. 2006, owned from new and just clocked over 6k miles last week.

Dad sold his Riley 2 years ago. Registered in 1953 and bought by him in 1961 with 9k on the clock. It had 27k on the clock when he sold it.

My Grandad's Citroen ZX had less than 3k on the clock when we found out how bad his eyesight was and took the keys off him. At 6 years old that is less than 500 miles a year. I think it went to the shops once a week and possibly a trip to the chip shop.

My dad put a couple of thousand and then I added nearly 100k and my sister drove it until all the electrics packed up.

  • 2 weeks later...

My 1997 Felicia has 27,600 on the clock. Doing a lot less miles these days - sits outside the house all week and only sees the road at weekends. Have a 1983 Saab 99 with 75,000, too

Friend has just had his Gilbern MOT'ed and he has done 25 miles this year!!

What a waste!!

Parents Swift does around 4000 a year and 1500 of that is probably me driving it.. Bought a bike a few weeks ago with 7000 miles on it over 5 years. I've done nearly 2000 already

I'm currently doing 6000 atm.

Girlfriends 2002 lupo currently has about 30k on it. Bought it a year ago with 22k. Poor thing must have got the shock of its life when she bought it - actually started being used!

Last year 2,750miles in the car (2,700miles on the bike)

This year 500miles in the car (1,600 miles on the bike)

Think I've done about 14,000 miles in my Fabia, owned it just over a year now.

About 550 miles in 18 months on my Gixxer.

On a Honda CBR 125cc I owned a few years ago I did 5500 miles in 3 months - loved that thing. 100 miles to a fiver!

When I got my car from my Grandad it had done about 250 miles between MOTs, and just under 15k miles in 15 years.

I think I can beat everyone too. I've done 20 miles in 2 years...................... on my mountain bike!
