pretty cheesed off I had work, but hopefully everyone had a good time  On the plus side, what I did today has paid for my trip to Gaydon so maybe it was meant to be ;)

  • Sometimes we all get naked, light a fire, do a secret Skoda dance handed down from Laurin & Klement and sacrifice an infant whilst chanting.Other times we just talk about cars, see how people are

  • This sort of comment is utter rubbish ! Of course we shall not be lighting fires in the middle of summer in the New Forest !

Yesterday saw our New Forest meet come to fruition. We picked up Simon (Beryl's Chief Pilot) and then met the Button trio at the bottom of Wrotham hill. Then met vrs19td and wife at Cobham services. The economy drive went well due to 60 mph limit set by the Buttons towing their house for the weekend. The weather was outstanding. Pub drinks and food exceptional and a good bit of Brisky banter was had.

Was a great day on Saturday. B)

Thanks to Pete and Adam for organising and great to put some faces to names. :)

I had fun times, even caught crabs but I think I've ended up with sunstroke :(

Spent all last night trying to sleep on the bathroom floor and today is the first day I've taken off work sick in 3 and 1/2 years.

Ouch not good. Hopefully you'll recover soon enough. Its still nearly 30c down here today, and just as sunny.

Sorry I couldn't make this, I did manage to send my twin brother along and he said it was ok!

Nice to meet y'all. Many thanks to Peter for the ferrying and Sunday rescuing and many thanks to Adam & his family for their excellent hospitality. I would come again for sure. (If I had come in the first place)..........

Your twin is a right alky, he couldn't walk straight by mid afternoon. :D

Yes Simon you missed an excellent weekend. Your brother Albert sure needs some looking after ! Sunday morning saw him wandering aimlessly two miles away from the B&B and going in the wrong direction. Who knows what mischief he would have got into if I hadn't rescued him.

Please say this actually happened! hahahaha

Yes it actually did

This is true.... :drunk:  5 pints, starting at lunchtime. Wasted!!

Yes it actually did

This is also true..... I went for a circular 'make it up as you go along' type walk,  in the morning  and after 45 mins or so and 3 right turns, I reached a cross roads a few hundred metres away from the Plough. I'd been informed that all I had to do was turn right. But the sign said Sway was LEFT & a couple of miles away! So I turned on the trusty Sat Nav and searched for 'The Plough Sway' and it said LEFT 1.7 miles away. So I went left!

What I didn't know was ........ A. The Plough isn't technically in Sway.  B. When examining the Sat Nav later, it couldn't find the Plough and just focussed on the Sway bit!  I was walking faster and faster to get back for brekky and I was getting further & further away!  Hence Pete came out to rescue me! Didn't know things were going wrong till Pete pulled up BEHIND me to collect me!  :giggle:

Yes an awesome weekend.

Thank u Adam and Family for a great time.
