Following on from Sharkriders new vrs thread I have a sneak pic of my new Steel Grey one. I pick it up tomorrow so expect more pics and a review soon. It's on eibach 20mm:

It arrived Tuesday I think. Was up there this morning signing some documents. Quite excited now, wasn't until I saw it!

Great colour, not steel grey is it? Dads yeti is steel grey and is more bluey.

Looks good on eibachs.

Definitely steel grey. It's the only grey they do on the vrs. The v on the new vrs badge is grey too which I thought was a bit odd

Just happened to be driving past - as I do every day, twice a day

Parents live 5 mins away and I live 10 mins away.

The Eibachs ought to be standard IMO.

Ultimately I think you also need better shocks as well and I'll probably do this to mine when I've got 30/40k on the clock,but they are a worthwhile improvement alone.

exactly..... if mine starts to "bounce" its getting shocks immediatly....

Are the Eibacks 20mm the only option? I might email my dealer today for a quote.

Yeh thats what i mean What did you pay for them fitted?

Shoul imagine 300-400 squid dealer pricing...

Probably ad-lav, but I don't know, it was simply added to the finance like the factory options, my insurance company said they didn't need to know about dealer fit options either

Very smart and a super colour choice. I would have liked a grey-hued vRS but had to settle for Race Blue as the option was not available at the time of ordering.

Obvioulsy a good reason to think about a new one!

Saw your old one being taken into the workshop/valet bit about 1:30, how is the new one?

Driven about 30 miles in the new VRS now and it feels great. Obvious new car tightness, but engine and gear change all felt great. The Eibach springs rode very well and there was noticeably less body roll and the whole car felt more controlled. They weren't as hard as I thought they were going to be either. The springs also help reduce the pitching of the car under breaking, which I noticed a lot in the old VRS. A few comments:

• New steering wheel looks a lot better, and paddles feel better. The volume control wheel is a nicer design too.
  
• Eibach springs enhance the looks a lot and give the car more control.
  
• Cabin feels the same quality, except for grab handles which the plastic feels worse on (might be imagining this!).
  
• Indicator stalks seem different. There is a definite 'click' when flashing for instance.
  
• Red interior is a lot nicer than the grey imo, and I love having an arm rest now.
  
• There were too many badges on the back, so I took some off!
  
• Engine tone sounded a bit different. When I was off the accelerator I noticed a slight whistling noise, but again I could be imagining this as a difference.
  
• I tried to do the Jabo running in (full throttle in higher gears) for some of the way home. Oil temperature got up to 95 degrees but settles back down to 88-90 degrees when I wasn't full throttling it.
  
• The kick down peddle seems harder to press and you can comfortable maintain maximum throttle without activating it.
  
• New VRS badge has a grey V (not colour coded, it is grey on all of them).
  
• Annoying beep from parking sensors (when first put into reverse) now gone as the new one hasnt got them!
  
• I didn't get any oil in the boot from the dealer!
  

Obviously I need to drive it more to make any more conclusions, but those are my first thoughts. Now some pictures:

Stunning colour

The colour is quite blue under some lights. I would have preferred a VRS exclusive grey, but I do like the colour.

Is that the standard aerial,or have you put a shorter one one?

Standard. Although I think its shorter than it used to be. I didn't really notice the one on my 2010 VRS so couldnt say.
