L&K collected

Pics please when you have the time.

Enjoy your new monster

Picked up my white L&K today in a hailstorm. Easy handover, as the only toy the salesman had to show me was the sunroof, otherwise everything as in my former Elegance. My first experience of a petrol engine for a very long time, but the 1.8 Tsi drives just like my former 170 diesel. Love the look of it in white - still undecided whether to customise with new Skoda badges and/or vinyl-wrap the roof and wing mirrors in black. Which reminds me - folding wing mirrors at last!

I'm enjoying the petrol-it is whooshy quick. There is a saving of 25 kilos at the front of the car which makes the handling a little sparkier.

Andrew, Hope you really enjoy the new car, good that the handover went so smooth.

Looking forward to getting to know it - not much immediate chance as we're in London (by train) over the weekend and then only local hops in view for a week or so - first long run will be in two weeks' time when I have to go to Manchester airport. In the meantime, lots of setting up to do on the various options and music to put on the HDD, as well as satnav destinations to reload! Looks very neat having a white Yeti and a white Citigo on the drive, though!

Aha, watch this space for a forthcoming vision of redness!

Many congratulations on your new car, particularly the choice of colour - white mmmm.

We've clocked up over 800 miles and have a Cornwall trip soon so we are getting used to the car but still really enjoying the new features. Loaded about 7 GB of audio onto the HDD and managed to get the speed cameras as POI's. Still leaning but have yet to try the parking button?

After you get used to how it works remember that when you use the park assist make sure that the roof is open so you can wave your arms wildly out of it. Great for getting some odd expressions from passers by :giggle:

Not the best example but you get the idea.

Hi Andrew

Enjoy your new beast. No doubt you will have been driving round enjoying the wide open sunroof today. The light coming into interior with the blind back is great!

Cheers

Brilliant!

Brilliant!

It is brilliant but why on earth is he driving it so slow!?!?!?!

Congrats on the new baby!

Now you have a sunroof have a read of this:

As to the roof and mirrors: definitely do the mirrors. Another old thread (and just black plastic and not gloss) but it gives you the idea of the look:

Save the money on the roof for another time but definitely do the mirrors.

Great tip with the sunroof and the mirror covers look good.

I'm still pondering the black mirrors/black roof look (have tracked down a local - for us, that is, ie 35 miles away - vinyl wrapping firm and am awaiting a quote) but feel pretty sure I'll go there. I did wonder about replacing just the mirror covers with OEM black ones but think maybe wrapping will be easier. Pictures in various threads on here of Steph64's vehicle look terrific!

Andrew, if you go down this route some before and after pictures would be good.

Will do - should be a good test of my technical (non) expertise!

Better stock up on car shampoo...

Snow foam and do them both together.

Have fitted new Skoda badges today (OEM Citigo on front, very good quality vinyl wheel centre stickers from Poland and Superskoda chrome cover with luminous white bigfoot to rear; booked in for roof and wing mirrors to be vinyl wrapped in black on Tuesday. Will attempt to post photos later next week.

Are you having the B pillars wrapped also??

No - I like them in the main body colour as a design feature, especially in white against the black (and they remind me of my daughter's Citroen DS3, which I think is very stylish!).
