Bye bye 100NX, Helloooo new loan car

Featured Replies

..... Yep, a luvverly Vauxhall omega

First impressions! Not bad at all! For

I think I'd prefer that "ever so slightly" to a 100NX

It's got the sides done, how about... nah can't mention that one again today ;)

Bargain for 200 quid, probably not a bad car at all for that. How long you have left on the MOT, and what kinda miles does it have clocked up so far?

113k miles, but might be clocked, so not sure. Came from an auction. Not sure on tax as its not my car :P I put the right fuel in it at the pump this afternoon though! ;)

I hope its reasonably frugal, but I'm not expecting a 2.0 litre barge like that to do better than 30mpg on average. :)

edit: I'm ignoring your half-ar5ed attempt at another roll over gag! :P :D

I dunno? Its got an engine.... :D:o

But yeah, I do think that this is RWD, but unsure without getting underneath and looking for a great big propshaft. ;)

Well, for project number 2, buy a crappy old Corsa or similar and put the engine from the Omega in it! You could be flying!!!!

:rofl::rofl:

Just put your foot down and see which wheels spin. Best not floor it around corners if your not sure, just incase the worst should happen...

Ok, I'll stop it now.

Its got an auto box, so no spinning.... EVER! :)

omg it ate the furby....bloater car, but for 200 quid, dam where's a copy of autotrader thats cheaper than the 500 quid I spent on morph tyres...

Jason, if you see a skoda for 100 quid or less, let me know...ps I'll sort the other thing out soon ;) Sos been mad.

lol get it sideways j you know you want to.....this corsa has an omega engine though

One foot on the brake, the other on the accelerator. Press right foot to the floor, then release left foot :D

You are making it soooo hard not do have a go when you post stuff like this though:

but unsure without getting underneath

I know someone who knows someone who has a way  :P :P

Must admit the Peugeot 205 I had once nearly caught me out - brakes didnt fancy doing a sufficient job (read: they just locked rather than slowing the car) so kinda fun.. Slowed it against a bank of mud and so on, to bounce it round the bend instead. Felt like it could have gone, in fairness ;)

You working hard on your car this weekend then I take it?

It's RWD. I seem to remember that Performance Car rated the Omega quite highly when it came out.

Very popular with the police as well, when it came out. And that's not just in the UK either ;)

It'll be RWD.

You can spin it, y'know. Into neutral, 5K on the tacho -then jam it into drive!

It won't do the auto box any good, though.......:D

As its not my car, I think I'll do my "drive" selection with it on tickover.

:D

Colin - no probs. ;)

BTW - I felt a kick this morning while doing some brisk moving forward and it felt like proper RWD should feel, i.e nose right up. :)

J you have me in stitches with your posts
