  • What an amazing day and a great toy.   Passed, so can now drive one on the road!       What's the salary like?

Around about 2000 so as to comply with the NATO Single Fuels Policy, all of the remaining CVR(T) vehicles were converted to diesel using the Cummins B6 unit if I recall correctly. Don't know if UK MOD are selling any of these off yet, but if so perhaps keeping an eye out for?

Not seen any cummins UK ones yet, but the Belgians have started to release some.

these guys have 6 Spartans for sale, the APC version of the CVRT Richard, not read through completely but all the T&C's are listed

Yes, but if you ask they want £22k for them.

For £2k more I can get the modernised Cummins diesel in equally great condition.

It's a lot for the APC version either way, that's tank with gun money, the non turret version are usually around £5k(ish) cheaper.

I never asked the price, sorry, I had enough of the things back in the day :) Spotted a decent Abbot though, but it's had the pack replaced for one from a 432, there's a chieftain out there as well, if it ever started nobody would get in your way. Don't ever decide to have a kip under one though, as a late friend of mine discovered :(

Lt Grubner, I mean Bossfox.  This could be you.  My choice would be the Scorpion though

Good luck Richard :)

Best wishes, good luck etc, or failing that, "break a V@*xh@11!"

Hope it all goes well for you.

By the way, don't Skoda make AFV's?

Just a thought.

Rob.

The wheeled stuff all seems a bit normal.

I was previously heavilly into Land Rovers and the series 1, 2 etc... Too similar.

I have some forms here you could sign and then we'd pay you to drive tanks, driving lesson and test free of charge.

They made the Panzer 35(t) and 38(t) in WW2, according to The Internet.

What an amazing day and a great toy. :)

you sir are officially a nutter.

As regards the salary, I don't know what you make but seeing your car buying habit I suspect it would be a bit of a cut for you

Conga rat shoe laces!

There is something both highly amusing and deeply unsettling about seeing a tank with L plates on it.

Congratulations.

Well done!

Well done mate!

Congratulations. Well done Richard :)

Richard, you do realise you can't use a tank in the photo challenge game, don't you? It's 'Your CAR,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,'. Would have been handy for the 40 degrees challenge though, and well done :)

Congratulations Richard, look forward to seeing your new set of wheels tracks at the next meet :)

Impressive, what's involved in the test then? Wanna get mine done now, good why is there so many temptaions lol
