WTF???!!! Have the men in white coats not picked you up yet??!! A tweaked Yeti = Nice, a bright yellow GTR = awesome, a smashed up Roomster = not sure, a 400 break Citigo = lunacy, a tank = fecking

Book in with a reputable person that takes you out in a suitable vehicle and books the DVLA examiner.

Do a morning of training and driving.

DVLA examiner turns up in the afternoon and you do as asked, mainly laps round an area that includes a fair share of the public highway, junctions, roundabouts etc..

Three point turn, emergency stop.

I paid £595 because I wanted one to one (more driving time) and to actually drive the vehicle I am planning to get.

You can do it a bit cheaper at other places, but generally they do a day of training where you share a vehicle between 4 or 5 poeple, then the DVLA guy comes the next day and you all take your test then.

Or they use easier (cheaper) to maintain tracked vehicles.

Have to say, you do get a few funny looks when you roll up to a junction and wait at the give way line. A lot of car drivers hesitate for a second or two.

If you are a decent driver it's not really that tricky.

Just need to get used to having two sticks to steer, a pedal where the clutch should be that rocks forwards to change down a gear and backwards to change up a gear (like a motorbike I was told, but never riden one) plus the extra bits that are located in odd places, like the engine cut off by your right shoulder and the indicators by your left one.

Congratulations Richard, look forward to seeing your new set of wheels tracks at the next meet :)

redefining 'Track Session' :D

Congrats, but I dont think indicators are used much during a war so why put them in a convenient place? :p
