First off, what a brilliant Forum!!

I currently own a Skoda Octavia 61 Elegance 1.6 CR TDI, and i LOVE it!!

Looking at ordering the newly released Monte Carlo Estate, in white with the 1.6CR TDI 105ps with the following spec/add on's:

3 Spoke MFSW with Phone/Radio

Bluetooth

Spare wheel

Heated Seats

ESC Plus (worth every penny i think!)

Parking Sensors

Amunsden Sat Nav

Climate Control

Cruise Control

Front arm Rest

Rear Electric windows

Maxi Dot

Under seat storage.

Dont think there is much else i can add.......

Few questions with regards to it all which the dealership couldnt really answer, so im hoping you guys/girls can help me out!!

1) Is the Sat NAv the Amunsden + version with DAB?

2) By adding the Satnav does it include the Maxi Dot? I have the Amunsden in my Octavia and didnt pay for the MaxiDot yet i have it (shows info about car/satnav/settings/radio/media etc)

3) By ordering the 3 Spoke MFSW will it still be 'Sports' Version?

4) If i ordered the Variable boot floor from the accessories catalouge, is there any reason it will not fit in the monte carlol?

5)Can anyone advise on what 'freebies' they have managed to swing from there dealership on to there monte carlo to sweeten the deal?

Maybe suggest to the Dealership/Salesperson that since their job is selling to and ordering new cars for members of the public & businesses that want a new car ordered,

that they find out about the DAB Radio options, steering wheels, and other details of the various vehicles.

They sell Skodas, they know how to contact Skodas and people come into buy and order Skodas.

Sometimes i wonder what they actually think their job is as a salesperson and what it involves,

like the basics, know the product, all that is available and when, and the terms and conditions.

No idea why, when the Official Dealership configurator & the Official Skoda Websites are not giving the right choices, options and prices,

they do not persist in telling Skoda & Skoda just leaves it showing the wrong info.

Other places seem to know what vehicles are going to be available.

I think i was one of the first to order, did it today.

Skoda have a new Fabia brochure out with the monte estate in it.

16 week build time :-( the wait begins.....

I called SUK direct and chatted to them with regards to DAB etc etc. The fabia i have ordered, i can confirm thay ordering the sat nav i WILL get DAB radio with it.

And you can get the Monte estate in Race Blue but not the hatch though.

But you cant have the Black roof on the estate version.

Has 16 weeks gone past yet since my last post ...... :-(

Congrats on the order.

To answer some points you list;

Maxi comes with bluetooth but not the sat nav, the MFSW was not perforated leather on the 2012 Monte and I've not seen a 2013 with a MFSW in the new design as yet to say if that's changed. OH and ESP may or has become standard, might want to check your not paying extra if it has.

I didnt order the maxi dot in the end, just on a nudge that it might be included eoth the satnav (like in my current octavia) but by the sounds of things ill be getting it either way!

Ill have to wait and see what steering wheel turns up! Lol

I went for the white! Although i did notice in the new catalogue they offer the monte carlo in steel grey, which was only previously available on the VRS.

I cant wait for it to arrive now!

Hmm, now I'm torn a Monte estate or a Roomster Noire (if they every make it). Configured mine, wow how expensive????

Me too, Monte is probably the best looking mkII Fabia and I do prefer the estate version of the mk2 generally.

Well, i collected my Monte Carlo Estate today. Delivery mileage 6 miles :-P 

 

Was a very good hand over, everything explained about the car and using the key features. 

 

BUT...theres a few problems which, i think, should have been picked up on in the PDI:

 

1) Drivers window switch box (mine has 4 swtiches 2 for front 2 for rear) is not fitted correctly/broken. i noticed as i was about to drive away and close the window its not held in place by anything! it simply slides back and forth up and down in the hole. they are now ordering the part and i have to go back and have it repaired.

 

2) Heated seats - They have been wired up incorrectly! When turning the drivers switch on the passenger seat heats up and visa-versa! not very good either! surely these should have been checked on the PDI?

 

3) Fog light units - There is ALOT of condensation within one of the units, the entire glass is covered in condensation, the passenger side is absolutely fine, im going to leave it a few days and see if it dries out but if its still there come repair day it will be mentioned. 

 

4) MDI Lead - I asked if i could have the micro USB lead for the MDI but was told the one that's in the car is the one that comes from factory! im 99% sure this is incorrect and that they are put in the car when they arrive at the dealership (read this in another post) so now im stuck with a Apple MDi lead and i don't even own an I-pod or an Apple! Little bot annoyed with this and im tempted to call Skoda UK to confirm if the leads are added at dealership and if i have a choice in the lead i get. if they say YES to both then i shall call the dealership back and ask for the micro USB lead to be ordered in place of the apple one i have

 

Other than these few bits im over the moon with the car! LOVE IT! love the Engine (1.6 Tdi) love the ride, all the add on's i selected (please see above)

Ooh, I don't know about the PID checks mate, those delivery miles are a bit low . I'd get onto the dealer and make sure they road tested the car properly.

There is no set delivery mileage amount! i found this out when i started a topic with reference to delivery mileage asking if it was a bit to high! have a look on my topics. 

Smart car. I see a red '63-plate every day and the Monte styling definitely looks good as an estate.

 

Re the MDI lead, the Dealer should have ensured the lead you asked for was in the car. I wanted the micro USB too which I received but the Dealer said I may as well keep the iPod one (as sent from the factory) too as it would only gather dust! Mention it when you take the car back for the remedial work you've metioned.
