Abs kicking in

Recommended Posts

Got an issue where the abs cuts in at below 40ish mph. Have done a scan and has no fault codes.

Recently had a new bearing on the driver side front. So I removed the wheel, dropped the caliper down and eased the brake disc out the way. To me it looks like the bearing is not pressed far enough in.

What do you think?

I had exactly the same problem - it rendered the car undriveable unless I took the ABS fuse out which gave me normal brakes. I got the bearing done at an independent and took it back several times and they couldn't work out what was wrong. Took it to our local VAG specialist and he found it straight away. Definitely get it back to them to sort it out

Hopefully as there are no fault codes the sensor should be ok. I am quite friendly with my local vw dealer so I may be able to borrow the special tool.

What about these nice people up in/outside Dysart?
