Toast's MkI Fabio The RS

Featured Replies

Hi All

I've been hanging around the Octavia forum's for a few years now but the petrol was starting to kill my wallet.
So I got a sensible car and got a Fabia RS. From having the Octavia for so long I just love Skoda's and the Fabia is a kinda an all in one package so it was pretty much the only and right choice for me!

So flew over to the UK two weeks ago to pick mine up because there is very few Fabia RS's over here to pick from! Let alone well spec'd, I also got to drive it across the UK and Ferry it up first class home.

Here is my Octavia's build thread for anyone interested! (Click the image for the thread)

Nobody wants to see Octavia's here so on with the show

Previous owner mods that the car came with:
Claimed to be remapped to around 160~170 (it is pretty pokey tbh)
Allard EGR delete
Seat sport upper strut brace
Koni Shocks -40mm with adjustable Koni dampers

Here she is fresh off the ferry!

Its an excuse to go bigger turbo though so I'm not as mad as i thought id be!
I just cant decide whether to go pd150 or hybrid? I don't have any complementary mods to go with a bigger turbo!
I also have limited options as im trying to keep it as cheap as possible, I wasn't planning on having my turbo blow to be honest!
and turbos are not that readily available over here either!

Oops!

2260vk!

Hybrid pd150 :)

Cleaned all the pipe work and gave the engine a bit of a tidy!

Started with replacing that pisky turbo outlet 90 degree pipe mine had a hole in the connector part!

It's red but can't be seen don't really like bright coloured pipes in my bay!

Looked good today ;)

Great progress on this, making a very clean example of a vrs fairplay.

What did I use on the lights? They look great.

Updates!!

Exterior only little subtle things done as im on an extremely tight budget for the moment!

Wheels cost me e20 and took about 2 hours in total to do. They look better than they did!

Put some yellow fog light bulbs in too only because i think they look well with the projectors and the red.

Little interior update to finish everything off.

2012/13 maps so the roads are up to date and its actually a little bit useful!

Looks spot on I wanted a red one when I bought mine

  • Author

When I decided I wanted one it was either going to be black or red. I went with the red and haven't looked back the red turns so many heads!

I've always had white wheels on most of my cars and think they look stunning on red cars that's why I wanted a red one so I could slam it on some white wheels but all the ones I looked at were dogs so ended up getting the black one. It's nice when it's clean but doesn't really stand out. On the look out for some decent wheels and gunna have them white so should stand out then! Jealous of how clean yours is, very nice

I had a silver octavia before didnt get as much attention! I was looking for about two months for one nearly gave up then my last check it came up and had to have it check every single box! In terms of body its perfect bar a few stonechips! Black is a lot more aggressive looking that's why it was my second choice! Red is a bit mid life crisis girly look on a Fabia but with the blacked out look and soon to be lowered I hope to make it a bit more masculine.

I don't think red is girly I reckon lowered yours is going to look stunning its so clean. Love your head unit I need that in my car!

I dont really think so either but most of the compliments ive been getting is off the women like "its so cute!" Is not something i want to hear :P. I wish it was factory but unfortunately its not, came out of the Octavia! Sound could be better but it looks like it belongs so it makes up for it!

Least you get girls noticing your car is don't think a girl has ever even noticed my car lol. I'd like a wide mouth on mine and a huge fmic I think that looks good on a black car but seeing yours really makes me wish I'd waited for a red one :( Your octavia looked nice too I was in 2 minds wether to go for the octavia or the fabia
