Superb 2 Headlight unit

Featured Replies

Whilst doing some maintenance on my car last night i noticed that the mounting brackets for my off side headlight were snapped. This must have happened when i had a minor shunt a few months ago (my fault). The light has been working during this time without any issue about the headlight beam.

I got a parts quote of £450.56 incl vat from Skoda Cardiff. Luckily the bulb was ok because that was another £160.

Has anyone been able to locate an alternative source of parts that are not that expensive?

There is probably a repair kit, there certainly is for every model of Audi. The kit contains a replacement bracket and a screw that you screw into the broken part on the headlight itself. The Audi kit costs less than £10, I had to buy a kit to fix my A8 drivers headlight that also had broken brackets.

You do get Skoda repair kit here in Germany for the headlights, I will have a look for the part number and post it on here tomorrow

Found them quicker than expected, I hope this is what you need

Thanks Rab

Success!

Ran those numbers past skoda in Cardiff and although they don't carry them they are on the system and can order them with a 2 day delivery.

Couple of quid for each seems a lot better than £450 for a new headlight!

No problem, just glad that I could help
