And was wondering the best place's to get it reconditioned would like to spend £400ish any idea's would be great thanks in advance

Hi and welcome aboard.

Welcome from me too. :) I recommend that you repost your request for advice in the Fabia I forum.

Welcome. AET wil do a turbo in that price bracket, comes with 24 months warranty,

Make sure every pipe is cleaned out including the intercooler, that bit of metal may be somewhere, dont assume it has passed.

Midland turbo in Nottingham will refurb yours from about £250 plus VAT

hi thanks for the help will ring AET and midland turbo's tomorow see what they can do i would need warranty. So if i check all the intercooler pipes fingers crossed the metal could be in there. Ash i wouldnt buy second hand turbo incase that pop's aswell your better off just biting the bullet and getting it refurbished.

Midland give a 2 year warranty

You will also need a new oil feed pipe and oil and filter.

And change the oil and oil filter.

There's an echo lol

Funny, read yours as just oil feed pipe when I posted!

Anyway, should change the oil return pipe as well LOL

spot on thanks for the help people

Just to let you know the exchange I got from Midland Turbos was of excellent build quality and can't fault the entire exchange process. Fitted yesterday and all is good, back to normal running.
