Interesting E-bay Skoda Bits!!

Featured Replies

Was looking on e-bay this morning and typed in Skoda. Few interesting things on there but this one caught my eye and I quote:

This will fit most fuel injected engines (non-turbo) from 1989 onwards and will add UP TO 20 BHP depending on engine size and other factors.

Someone is offering a performance upgarde for

I read about the 20bhp mod before, apparently its just a resistor that you put in that makes the engine overfuel, hence more power.

Everyone I've seen has had one!

I haven't got one, but then one of the previous users probably nicked it. Wouldn't pay a fiver for one...

Did a similar search on e-bay a couple of days back, was quite surprised that someone was actually selling the metal and black leather "Octavia" key fob that comes with the car...

Aha! Someone even tighter than me! Des - take note ... :p

You've yet to witness my tight fistedness yet!!!

BTW - if anyone buys one of those skoda chrome keyrings. DONT! - The chrome bit fell off mine when I was carrying the keys, I didn't hear it hit the ground, and I can't find it! DAMNIT!

Talking of keys I have actually managed to seperate the crome bit that holds the keyring from the actuall key fob itself. Not even Super glue can hold it together :(

colin - tried araldite? I think its even stronger than super-glue... However I'm really surprised super glue doesn't hold it - I treat it as the b-all and end-all of glueing! I used it to stick a flap of tyre back when I took a sliver off bashing an alloy.. :(

No haven't tried aralidite, it's next on the list. Aradite is a fiddle mind as it has to me mixed together.

Stay away from the resistor mod! It's almost as bad as unplugging the MAF sensor and is a fast way to melt your catalyst.

what if you didnt have a cat?

"meee-owww" - I do, 2 actually.

(BTW - this probably won't work - It'll be a miracle if it does!)

and it didn't - hmmmm.

Correct Jason - it didn't :p

Geocities doesn't allowing hotlinking...seem to recall mentioning that to you before setting up some webspace for you... :p

Hmmm - I tried sticking the piccie in that thingy Rob kindly set up for me. Only using netscape seems to **** everything up! So I can't even upload it to there... :(

Anyone who really wants to see the Ginger one can here.

and please ignore all the other pics - This is a geocities site I set up YEARS ago and much of the detail in it is now just a load of old ******, to be honest. :D

Good old Netscape, eh?

Rob.

Hmmm - he looks a little like a cat I used to have - only smaller :D

He is small for a Tomcat - He used to get duffed up by a local tabby, but since we got another one (pedigree British Blue) I think the Tabby has been intimidated by two cats being in the same territory. This is handy because I was about to borrow my mates 12 bore and blow the tabby to kingdom come!!

I used superglue for THAT little repair - and thankfully, its very hard to tell that I have glued anything back to the tyre at all.
