Online configurator question

Featured Replies

Good evening all,

I'm just looking at the configurator and have a couple of questions. I've done a search and can't see answers to these in old threads.

1. There's an option for PHK at £110. Any clues?

2. Is there a difference between light assistant at £65 and light assistant at £255? Surely not an extra £190 for just coming home/leaving function?

3. Anyone have the Erebus alloys spec'd? They're a no cost option and look good to my eye.

4. Is the 12 speaker system worth it? I have the admundsen+ in the vrs and the quality is frankly horrendous. What's the standard output from the yeti SE plus like?

Thanks in advance. It seems I'm closing in on an order :-)

1. I think the PHK option may be the fold flat front passenger seat although I dont now what 'phk' stands for.

2. I think the more expensive light assistant also has a rain sensor, i.e. you can set wipers to come on automatically when they detect rain.

I can't answer your other questions as I dont have my car yet. I'm sure someone else here will be able to help though.

Thank you MarieK. Quick question for you. How's the white for keeping clean? Is it one of those shapes that seems to attract dirt to the rear?

No-one ever believes me but in the Middle East, Africa and Australia a lot of cars are white BECAUSE they are easy to keep clean.  (Yes they reflect more of the sun too in these warm places).  Rockhopper will also tell you that it keeps your hands clean as you can SEE where they are dirty.   :giggle:

Just Google it and you will get all sorts on how easy white is to keep clean:

Like I said above, I'm still waiting for my yeti.

Hopefully it will be ok to keep clean, I will be snowfoaming it with the pressure washer.

I agree with the above. We now have a white Yeti and a white Citigo. They never look too dirty (but, as Rockhopper points out, you can see where the dirt is and avoid it), but they are a joy to behold when cleaned (and you can see whether you have actually removed all the tar spots, dead bugs, etc!). White cars are clearly visible in poor weather conditions/light and - as 900000 says - they reflect the heat (not much of an issue here in N Yorks, but valuable when we're in Provence!). I think the backs of all modern hatchbacks/estates tend to gather dirt because of the airflow design.

Our white one looks fairly clean most of the time - as said, rear end gets dirty fairly quick in the wet, as do the lower side sections below the side strip. I'd think Silver might look cleaner when dirty though (if this makes sense!). When washed and polished though, it looks fantastic - wouldn't have chosen another colour than white/black.
