DRL's on 2013 Greenline II (Estate)

Featured Replies

This has probably been asked loads of times, but my 'Google-Foo' is letting me down today!

I've ordered a Greenline Estate recently (Std Blue, Maxi-Dot, Door Protectors), which should hopefully be delivered Next week or the Following week!.

Can anyone with a 2013 Greenline tell me if there are actually DRL's (separate or built into the front fogs) on the car? or is the wiring there so they can be added/activated by the fuse switch/special 'Cheat' stalk flapping I've read about!.

How easy is it to fit the DRL's, after market, either separate ones or into the Fog's (if the wiring is there!!)?????

I've see quite a few Fabia Estates now on the M4 etc.. and they appear to have the 'Fog' type DRL's, but I'm not sure if they are Greenlines or SE etc.. models!

On a side note...

Are there any settings burred deep in the Computer/Maxi-Dot that I can set myself, without the use of any special tools, or are there any recommended settings/tweaks I can get the Dealer to perform likewise WITH their tool before I pick the car up??...

Door Locks, windows, mirrors etc...

Cheers Guy's

I have just taken delivery of my gl2 estate with maxi-dot, the Drl's are a seperate bulb within the fog light, and there is no option on the Maxi dot to change the Drl's settings

Yep, my Greenline is bog standard and has the DRL's

not sure about maxi dot as i have the standard display.

You can deactivate the DRL function, so it doesn't come on at all, but I guess that's not what you want?

I'm not sure about UK regulations, but here in Norway I may also use my fog lamps or head lamps at low beam as DRL. I may use yellow or white light for my lamps, even for the DRLs. That's why I've fitted a yellow bulb in my fogs (IMHO one of the few things you can to a GL to set if off from the rest without major body work). Getting hold of a yellow bulb for the DRL proved to be more difficult, but I finally found one that fit.

Activating daylight driving lights on vehicles with the START-STOP system

Switch off the ignition.

At the same time, slide the turn signal light lever upwards and hold it in this position

for at least 3 seconds.

Switch on the ignition - wait until the right-turn signal light flashes 4x.

Switch off the ignition - an audible signal sounds which confirms the activation

of the daylight driving lights.

Release the turn signal lever.
