Air con, working at all speeds?

Featured Replies

How do folks, given that the last few days have been gloriously warm and sweaty, i was curious if any of the rest of you guys get the same thing as me.

My AC is beautiflly cold and works really well, just not on speed 1. 2 3 and 4 its fine! But not one 1, as soon as I change the speed of the fans down, the AC light de-illuminates and goes off, turn it back to 2 and its nipple poppingly cold again.

Is this normal or is my Fabia just being an awkward chunt?

I have read on 'Briskoda' somewhere, that this function is mean't to happen

AC should stay on on all fan speeds (or at least they do in Mrs Pasty's car.)

My AC is knackered (on all speeds cos the compressor clutch is broken) but did the same as yours.

Select speed 1 and the AC light would go out and the I'm pretty sure the fans stop completely.

Do your fans actually keep blowing on speed 1 or does it stop entirely?

Could be that fan speed 1 is broken. Close most vents and see if you can detect it blowing.

If it's not working, have a search for fan/heater resistor pack or similar.

excellent news.

if you come up with a cure let me know ;)

Though given my compressor if knackered i dunno why i'm really worried :D
