To answer your question, if you don't want to damage the original grill, then yes you have to take the bumper off. Or you can just tear up the clips from the old grill and put the new one in.

You get them from Skoda. My VRS is coming with the rear LED lights with the bi Xenon front lights with LED DRLs.
