My elephant mod attempt, is it ok?

Featured Replies

As above really. Just did the elephant mod to Hopfully reduce the oily sludge that builds up in egr, intake ect.

I have routed pipe down near gearbox and put a slit in it to stop it freezing.

Does it look okay?

My pipe goes a little further and actually chucks is out under the car.

But other than that its fine :)

Yeah, seems OK.  Have you done EGR delete?  That's probably 95% of the reason for the oily gunky mess as its burnt diesel fumes being recirculated.

Only egr deleted in software so it doesn't operate. Haven't replaced for a pipe thou. But I am considering

Lovely. Cheers mate :)

It just 19mm internal hose used from the crank case

ordered the walking stick end and a metre of silicon. will give this a go this week :)

Does anybody know what size the hole is in the intake pipe is. I want to put an alloy bung in it

surely someone has thought of puting a catch tank somewhere for this?

Mine moved a little bit when I was messing around with my turbo and it fed more fumes into the cabin which isn't ideal. Need to move it properly further down now.

I threw mine down the back near the console bush as well.

Just out of curiosity has anyone else noticed doing the " elephant mod " cuts down on smoke at all?

Can't say I noticed, mines really clean on the high map aswell! The smoke underneath the car is quite obvious in colder weather though.
