I find it really useful to have when I'm out on country roads but admit I do find them annoying in town

on the mk2 - cornering fogs don't show up on maxidot.

its enabled via vcds and that's it.

normally the dealer activates it.  its not activated at the factory by default.

i expect the mk3 to b the same.

very nice purchase by the way - me jealous!!

That's what I'm hoping but seems daft to advertise it as having them to then not bother activating them.

Currently in the stealers whilst they try to get them working otherwise it will be a job for someone with vcds like it was on my fl

With or without cornering fog lights, it is a nice looking car.

Oooooooo, that's nice! :-D

I can't tell from the pic, but your seats look like the standard rather than leather is that right?  They look pretty good.

yes - standard seats on that.

Nice car. waiting a build week for mine so hopefully not ages to wait!!

Enjoy!

Very nice car looks like your the first one to get one on the forum, while the rest of us play the waiting game.

A question that I have and it raises it's head quite a lot here......is the love it or hate it SOUND GENERATOR, can you shed any light on this, i.e. can it be turned off otherwise I think i'll be pulling the wires out!!!!

Thanks,

First with the new Vrs and no pics :(

Would appear that I don't have the sound generator in mine which I'm not too upset about unless I j7st haven't found the switch for it yet lol

Is yours diesel or petrol? Not sure if you've already mentioned or not. Do you have the 'vRS' button by the gear stick?

Hope I don't find one either.

Looking at his pics his is a diesel. I drive a petrol on Sunday and there was no sign of a vRS button anywhere. Neither was there in any of the ones at Goodwood FoS....

pretty sure its only in the diesel at the moment and sounds like the early build cars and demonstrators have been pretty standard to the point of missing bits out.

Would appear that some bits have not been added on early models. Going to have it out with dealer tomorrow as wasn't made aware that some bits wouldn't be fitted & they can either dealer fit or have the vehicle back

Hi Gleemin, firstly very jealous lol!  Looking at one of your pics with all the function buttons, could you tell me what the 'lone switch' is for on the far left of the picture? (I know the other 3: Mode, Central locking, Start Stop) Just interested as to its function, is it the VRS button?

Thanks mate

Just looks like any other Octavia on the outside in my opinion. Doesn't

Have enough about it to suggest it's the sportiest model.

Far left button is for the traction control ritchie & I like the wolf in sheeps clothing look sotonjoe.

cant beat the look on peoples faces when you disappear away from them!

V nice and quite a nice thing to be one of the first to take delivery.

So what if the cornering lights and the vRS button aren't on the car, trust me cornering lights a pants (had them on my old MK6 Golf and the only thing they really did was prove the bulbs were working). Its an early car built for the initial launch I guess, Skoda change specs on things all the time too (like how many early MK3 Elegance owners didn't get standard fit front assistant)....if you got a good deal who cares right?

Just forget about the cornering lights and the vRS button and just enjoy what is a really nice new car.

Trouble is i'm used to the cornering lights as had them on my old fl & they are really useful in the back roads round this way. That & its not the point that some bits are missing but the fact that the dealer didn't tell me, they just said it was standard spec & they was desperate for sale as fiqures are low because people dont want a 13 plate apprently
