Electric window problems

Featured Replies

I'v just bought my first skoda fabia 2010 from a main dealer - the electric windows are not working properly and have an intermittent fault - the dealer has had it twice and still not fixed it.  They say the fault does not show on their diagnostic.  I am a driving instructor and depend on my car for work.  They say i should just leave it with theim indefinately until they can find fthe ault.

I have spoken to people who have left it with the dealer for 10 days and its still not fixed.  I find this ridicullous and I can not afford to not work so i am stuck.

From looking on the interned it seems that its a common problem.  Skoda refuse to acknowlede this or get the problem fixed.  There excuse is the fualt doesnt show whem its with them.  Meanwhile all the onus is on me to put up with a car not fit for purpose or not to have a car at all while they keep it and therefore not earn any money, with no guarantee of it being fixed.

This car is under warranty and I would like my money back as they refuse to take responsibility for what seems to be a common fault - does anyone have any suggustions on how to proceed.  Many thanks.

Welcome to the forum.

It is ridiculous, why do you not have a Courtesy car from them.?

Contact Skoda UK Customer services since they are paying for the repair if it is a warranty repair.

Inform them that you want them to Contract a Qualified Auto Electrician to repair the vehicle if the Dealership Technicians are not capable.

Plug in Diagnostics are not the be all and end all, as they seem to always believe.

Or do you mean the Skoda UK already know, when you say 'Skoda refuse to acknowledge this or get it fixed'.?

Have you had intermittent Faults since 2010 and still getting this type of cr4p from them?
