hi all just a quick question, today while at work a guy came in to make delivery while he was there he noticed my vrs in car park and we got talking about various cars and he wreckons there was a prototype octavia of only 3 were made and 1 of wich he said was in germany anyway he said they made a Mck1 skoda octavia vrs with golf R32 engine!!! has anyone else ever heard about this? or was he talking absolute poo !

Not something I've heard. But the engine would fit, it's certainly possible.

I've been to the VW Factory and there is no Octavias in the place so where in Germany I wonder he means.

I saw a mk2 with an r32 engine at goodwood. It was a customer build though and not a factory special

Getting confused with the mk.1 vrs factory demonstrator(s) that allegedy had BAMs' fitted maybe ?

Skoda defently made a mk1 fabia with 4x4 and a 2.0 tfsi turbo engine.

So a mk1 octy R32 is plausible.

They did that with a Leon - ie supercharged 2.8 V6 4x4 Leon

Jbs did a mk2 golf with a charged r32 nutters

loads of aftermarkets like,the supercharged leon was a production car (50 made)

Don't know if the link will work, but this was at Goodwood and apparently had 400bhp, they were giving rides in it to a few who won the vrs experience tickets, and got the most skoda related questions right on a quiz.

Plenty of people have done it, just search youtube for Octavia VR6 or R32 however I can't find any other info, not even on Wiki....
