Something wrong there like, definitely won't be £79

Sorry, just seen above posts

Also received a refund :-( I was looking forward to a bargain FMIC!

Ive rang up trading standards to see where I stand with this. They have broken the law by the website BUT because they have gave us a full refund we cant really do anything about it.

You rang Trading standards!?

Are you really that surprised that they didn't honour a pricing mistake? And did it really upset you that much?

Lol does sound abit over the top mind...

yes I rang them. Does that bother you???

Doesn't bother me at all, I find it laughable that you thought it would make a difference.

They offerd a further 10% discount as well.

somebody thinks there funny.... Well it cost me nothing to find out for the info then I would have been laughing if it worked in my favour.. But like I said they have broke the law, as its a buying contract when you've sold/brought any item over the net. And I could take then to court if I wanted too.

I think you would lose if you went to court to be honest.

The contract would only apply if they had dispatched the item.

but by all means if a £90 fmic really matters that much to you go for it!

P.S when I read your tweets I have Victor Meldrew's voice in my head :D

i also called trading standards didnt see the problem myself as others got it for 90 quid why shouldnt i? cant advertise something for a price and then change your mind when people buy it then offer you the same product for 225 quid there is a vast difference in price they often put 10 per cent discount for regular customers so i didnt see that as a very good customer relations ... could you imagine if everyone did this.

In January 2012, Marks & Spencer experienced a pricing blunder, pricing a Panasonic Plasma television online at £199 when it normally retailed at £1,099. According to the news reports, the error was noticed only after close to 1 million orders had been processed.

The M&S error follows on from a long line of pricing glitches. In 2002, Kodak.com had misstated the price of a digital camera on its site; the £329 camera went on sale for just £100. Word of the error spread rapidly across the internet, and it is rumoured that before Kodak were alerted to the problem around 2,000 orders had been placed. The company initially refused to fulfil the orders, and legal action was taken by disgruntled customers who argued that the company had entered into a contract from which it could not withdraw. Eventually the company capitulated and honoured the sales, but in the process it made a massive loss and suffered weeks of bad publicity.

Pricing errors have also have been made by Amazon who cancelled orders for Hewlett-Packard iPaq handheld computers, which had been priced at £7.32 instead of the normal selling price of £275. These cancellations resulted in many disgruntled customers and poor publicity.

TBH i tried to order one as above and got cancelled i seen it as a glitch and they refunded me just wish i'd of been quicker.

Just unlucky/tough **** at the end of the day :D

I'm abit shocked people have phoned trading standards. Must be before my time or somthing...

it would have to be quite a big deal for me to go that far to phone them in the first place, but as everyone knew from the posts on here, it was a glitch and would get canceld, I feel nothing at all about the subject.. not even botherd if it turned up as I don't want one yet.

What did tx say when you phoned them?

trading standard in my area checked their website and confirmed they have breached contract because in their t&cs they don't specify when the contract of sale starts so by default it starts when and if they took money from any one persons account for the goods not when goods are despatched and also refunding doesn't change that contract. people can do as they wish with this information. in another thread started by myself there is an ebay special that claims they are selling the same kit for £119 free delivery made by the same people I have this in an email from them they trade under dcmotorsportuk

Did anyone buy one of these that they're planning on selling for a profit ?

I did check there website a few days ago and they have nothing in there T&C to protect them but thought i'd stay quiet.

It's a business at the end of the day, we should be supporting them.

Mistakes happen and the lucky 1 or 2 people received the item before everyone else was made aware, but they eventually found out, it's been corrected and everybody has received a full refund, no real harm done.

It was worth a punt, but there's no need to start taking legal action and crying about it.

You may have missed a small fact. Everyone has been refunded.

I did "everybody has received a full refund, no real harm done"

I got mine :)

I got mine :)

If you fancy selling it... lol

Well done for the trading standards call!
