You will need some kind of lead (I can't remember exactly what I bought for mine). Also you will need to find a switched live as there is only a permanent live on the HU. I fitted an extra fuse in the fuse box, though you can use a piggyback fuse.

Im guessing its a SOT lead which will join the current quad block with the parrot leads when i do a ebay search it comes up with one for £5 is it best i just pay an ICE electrical specilist to fit it as im unsure where im ment to put the blue box etc

I put the blue box in the dash beneath the steering wheel.

Also just to piggy back onto this...is it possible to fit a 12v splitter in the glove box cut off the 12v plug and scotch lock the wires to the positive feed that run into the 12v standard port in the center or would thos mean it would constantly be live draining the battery?

Got mine fitted at halfords for £20,

Not worth the hastle of doing it yourself!

The 12v socket is permanently live in my car.

And surely unless there is summit plugged into the 12v socket its not live

DMilleaVRS

the socket will work if you plug something into it regardless of the whether the ignition is on or off.

So realistically it will drain the battery

Buy an 'add a circuit' fuse from eBay and piggy back it off of something like the windscreen wipers or heated rear window. You can fit the bluebox anywhere you like. I would recommend that you put some cable ties around it to hold the large plug with the speaker connections in place as they can work loose.

I've hidden the main boxes behind the AC panel as it has loads of room behind it, underneath the radio. I used a piggyback fuse as mentioned above.

Did you fit it yourself do I definitely need a SOT lead for my head unit (bolero)

DMilleaVRS

I did but I installed the older CK3100. I needed a SOT lead for the stream mp3 headunit.

You end up with lots of connection blocks and it can be a bit of a nightmare, if you take out the top pop-up tray thing you can get much better access.

Ill post some pics of my instal ASAP,

Love mine , The Bluetooth streaming from the iPhone is Crystal clear :-)

SOT leads mean that you don't have to cut in to the vehicle wiring -it would be very complex and involved to cut in to all the wiring and make all the connections to the correct wires and a nightmare to remove if necessary. With the SOT lead you just plug one end in to the stereo, the other in to the connector that originally plugged in to the back of the stereo and the Parrot kit will plug in to the middle of it. The only problem using them is that they are a little bulky and can take a bit of fiddling to get them to fit.

I've used these before:

Sorry guys it keeps saying upload failed :-(

I just did mine again today to add a USB plug in the top box

I used a piggy back fuse and wired it to the parrot kit while taking a feed off for an extra cigarette / USB thingy so that it was ignition fed and not perminately live. I hid all the bits around the stereo underneath or to the right hand side making sure to tape bits together so they don't rattle or vibrate

My top box now looks like this

And when I was working on it. The red tape shows where the additional cigarette socket is located

No worries halfords would not fit mine as it wasnt bought from them....bum holes

At last finally got them to upload,

God only knows why there on there side

I split the lead with the inputs ,and ran one up to my phone holder so I can charge my phone,

The other runs to the box down by the steering wheel that one houses the usb feed,

The blue box is fitted just under the top box for easy access ,
