no problems,

i gave them a call last night, but couldn't get a quote for another few days... insurance isn't up until late september...

called adrian flux today - they quoted

Try a quote through Norwich Union Direct (web address is pretty much what you'd expect!). Even the web quote is competitive and you keep your 3rd party cover on other vehicles... :D

Rob.

If you get a decent quote from any of these, particularly koda Insurance I think we should get a friendly mod to add them to the links page - I couldn't find a phone number for them anywhere so it'd be handy to have it stored on the site somewhere.

Skoda told me when I first got my skud, they'd beat anyone by

Just tried Skoda. They quoted me 1200 pounds.

Thats just under 400 more than Adrian Flux (884).

Elephant quoted 780 quid which is the cheapest I've found. The only downside is that I think you've got to stump up all the cash in 1 go..

I really hate insurance!!!!!!!

My insurance isn't due until towards the end of next month (26 i think) so they were unable to quote me at the time - they will call me back at some point.

The lowest has been adrian flux @

Si,

DirectLine should pretty much be the same as Tesco quote and facilities wise.

I paid approx. (under)

Hmmm - I was just forced to leave Tesco insurance... They quoted me

DirectLine's facilities only seem to be of benefit to those over 25 - most notably I found was that they'd never give 3rd party cover on other people's vehicles, even if you offered to pay more. Also, if you are over 25 and you start a new "clean" policy with them, after your first year of incident free motoring they give you 2 years NCB instead of 1. Which struck me as a weird policy, as surely there are far more under 25s who start new policies? Or maybe that's the point...

Not sure if Tesco's policies are the same as they have the same underwriters as DL...

Rob.

I got a quote for my L&K plus the lowering (yet to be done) from Tesco, and it still undercut Liverpool Victoria. Tesco want

Direct Line are superb with the installments thing. Basically they charge no APR on it at all. They simply divide it up by 12! I find that superbly good!

Would you believe it...Just got my renewal through for my existing Direct Line policy and guess what......

750 quid!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

All though work phoning round for nothing!!!!!!!!!!

Still I suppose it's good to know that you're getting the best deal.

Really? My quote was for

I have it written on the policy, 70.06, then 11 of 70.09 per month which adds up exactly. The total charge for credit is

Hmm...lemme guess, you wouldn't be over 25 by any chance?

Rob.

No charge for credit? I've not come across that one yet.

That's why I've made a blatant point every year of saving up cash in the 3 or 4 months leading up to renewal to pay it in one big go...
